Fastpass Plus ruined my vacation

I can see why people don't like FP+. We went to Disneyworld last August for the first time. It was great and a few things we liked better than Disneyland (staying at the Poly for $189, Animal Kingdom, and wide variety of restaurants) but for the most part we prefer Disneyland because it doesn't require excessive planning.

Yes, some people find planning times to ride a theme park attraction 60 days in advance to be "excessive planning". Others don't.

I never said she was wrong to feel that way. I was just commenting on the word "ruined" and how it evokes a response in others. It's a word that divides people. Some people will sympathize with the op and others won't.

It is a strong word but in her opinion it did ruin her vacation. Maybe she should just say that it contributed.

I use the word too but usually when I'm talking about a particular attraction or event. For example, I have said that Disney has ruined the Norway pavilion and for me that's true. For many others not so much. It's a matter of perspective I guess.

it's true for me too.

I teared up when I saw the Maelstrom building a few weeks ago. It might have been the Mexican margarita I downed right before entering Norway that might have contributed to feeling that way though.

I didn't see the OP say she was there at Christmastime. She said she was "just back.". It's January 10th. If she really is "just back,' then she could easily have been there after the Christmas/NYE heavy crowds.

General statement:

Regardless of when she was there, there's quite a lot of rudeness in this thread directed towards the OP that's more than a bit unnecessary.

It's the same tired thinking that if you don't like FP+ you are doing something wrong or somehow at fault.

FP+ has changed WDW vacations for a lot of folks. Sorry you were caught in the shuffle.
