Fastpass plus questions

May 21st is when our window opens to reserve fastpass plus attractions for our July trip. I've never used fastpass plus or magic bands because our last WDW trip was in 2012. We already have our tickets from Undercover Tourist anti will be linking them to My Disney Experiencenext week when we have spring break. In July, we will be staying at BWV, and a couple of months ago I received a flash drive in the mail along with a magnet which is on my fridge, which reminds us of important dates, May 21st being one of them I have some questions about the use of fastpass plus:

1. How far apart am I required to schedule our attractions? For example, if I wanted to get a fastpass for Peter Pan and also one for Splash Mountain, do they have to be an hour (or another specified amount of time) apart?
2. Is it true that can't schedule a fastpass plus for certain attractions on the same day, for example both Soarin' and Test Track on the same day? If so, is there a list available somewhere online that gives this information?
3. What is the limited number of attractions per day in the same theme park?
4. Would you recommend using fastpass plus for the nighttime parade or fireworks at MK? If so, are there two separate passes, one for the parade and a different one for the fireworks, making it use up two fast passes?
5. How long a window of time do we have to get to the reserved fastpass plus attraction? For example, if we have a noon reserved time, up until what time could we go on the attraction using the fastpass plus?
6. How early in the day an I reserve fastpass plus attractions? Is it from park opening time or is it a certain amount of time after park opening that we are allowed to book a fastpass plus attraction?
7. How does the fastpass plus return line wait time compare to the old fastpass return lines? Does this depend on whether it's morning, afternoon or evening? We always found regular fastpass return lines to be very efficient, even during busy summer months.

That's it for now. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who answers any of my questions!

Thank you! The only questions I didn't see answers to we're my last two questions, about how early in the day I can reserve a fastpass, like if I have to wait until a certain time after park opening or if it could be reserved, say, for 9:30am on a day the park opens at 9:00. And also how the return lines compare to the old fastpass return lines, in terms of wait and efficiency since we found the lines to be very short or no line at all, under the old fastpass system, even during the summer.

Unless something has recently changed, you can make them for anytime of day starting at park opening, but if you will be doing rope drop, it is best to ride standby that early in the day because lines should be the shortest they will be all day. The FP+ lines have been slightly longer of a wait than those under the old system, BUT looks can be deceiving. A FP+ line can be very long! but the actual time to get through can be only a few minutes. Here is an example of that...

If you decide to park hop, it is best to hit rope drop at your first park, and schedule your FP options for your second park. This is where FP+ is a huge improvement from the old system. Under the old, you could go to EPCOT in the afternoon and all FPs would be gone. Now you can show up at 6:00 and have 3 rides waiting for you. :goodvibes

Sounds great, thank you! How nice it will be to be able to reserve a Soarin fastpass on the day of arrival even though we start at Epcot in the early afternoon!

That's exactly what we did in October. Got to the park around 4:00 on our arrival day, and at that time, tiering had not yet been implemented (and not all resorts were testing yet).We did Soarin', Test Track and Spaceship Earth with no wait at all. It was great! We slept in on one of our DHS days, too. It was so nice to have TSM booked in advance!

We are rope drop people, but I'm sure the kids wouldn't mind sleeping in a little longer on future trips, when they're older. They're only 9 and almost 7 now so they normally get up pretty early anyway. I'm sure once they're teenagers they will love to sleep in, I know I did as a teen!
