With the annoucement that Small World Holiday would be getting Fastpass (which I guessed once I saw the MaxPass scan points installed a little while ago), I noticed the article said it had been one of the original DL rides with FP. For some reason I don't ever remember a FP system for Small World, but I guess I'm mistaken. I looked up the previous listing of rides from DL/DCA that had FP and was also thinking about future rides. What do people think?

Disneyland:
Current:
Big Thunder
Buzz Lightyear
Fantasmic
Haunted Mansion
Indiana Jones
Matterhorn
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Star Tours

Previous:
Autopia
Winnie the Pooh
Meet Anna/Elsa (now in DCA)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Storytelling at Royal Theatre

Future (totally my speculation)?
Peter Pan
Jungle Cruise
Dumbo
Star Wars rides

DCA:
Current:
California Screamin'
Goofy Sky School
Grizzly River Run
Guardians of the Galaxy
Radiator Springs Racers
Soarin
Toy Story Midway Mania
World of Color

Previous:
Meet Anna/Elsa
Hyperion - Aladdin/Frozen
Frozen Sing-Along (no longer there)

Future?
Monsters Inc
Marvel land rides

What do other people think?

They way its getting more and more crowded every year despite how hard they try to raise the already astronomical prices, they should, or may have to have FPs for every ride in the near future.

Then where would all those people with FPs (and not waiting in line) actually be in the overcrowded park?

I think a lot of it depends on whether they want to ultimately go the WDW route where everything has a FP or if they want to keep it so that some attractions do not have a FP. I can certainly see them adding FP to all future rides (so everything in Star Wars Land and any future Marvel expansion), especially because they'll be able to build the FP queue into the attraction during development rather than trying to shoehorn it into an existing queue (think RSR queue versus Indy queue).

I think they'd like to add FP to things like Peter Pan, Dumbo (maybe), and Alice, but figuring out where to put the queue is difficult. None of those attractions really have a lot of extra space nearby to accommodate putting in a second queue (the lines don't split either so they can't take over one side like they do with Big Thunder). I think that's the main reason why things like Peter Pan do not have a FP; between the regular queue and the DAS/handicap queue, there really isn't an obvious/easy place for a third queue.

Story Telling at Royal Theatre is still in DL. I doubt they will ever add FP th Monsters Inc. As much as I love it, I believe that ride & the surrounding area will eventually make way for the Marvel expansion.

Why on earth does IaSW need FP? Mostly, when we've gone (during school breaks, so it's usually pretty crowded), the wait never exceeds 15 minutes and it's usually a walk-on.

Has anyone heard if IASW is expected to be permanent or just for the holiday? (I fear permanent just so there's more FP inventory). I can see needing it when the holiday overlay goes up. But not the rest of the year.

Considering how they installed permanent Maxpass readers (not just the mobile scanners), I would expect it would stay year-round. Would probably become something like Buzz, where most return times are immediate except in the highest crowd situations.

Storytelling at Royal Theatre (no longer exists?)

This is the little theater near the Princess meet and greet. For a while they used FP tickets with one of the movable machines. I think this was mainly in use when the Forzen show was new. It didn't last long. When we were there the last weekend of September we walked right into the Beauty and the Beast show without waiting, so FP is not needed any longer. BUT for a while you would have to line up before the show and wait a long while or risk missing out.

Yeah, I'll edit the OP so there isn't confusion! I thought it was something else, and definitely no more FP given out for that!

I think they're expecting higher crowds when it re-opens as IaSWH (rather like the crowds at HM increased for HMH). When I was last there (late September, weekend), IaSW waits were in the 30 minute range in the late afternoon (about when that queue is the most miserable because there is almost no shade!). While it doesn't necessarily seem to be a super high demand attraction (like the thrill rides), it is one of the iconic attractions and it does have a split line so adding FP isn't going to be as difficult as it might be for some of the other attractions.
