Fastpass+ news?

Anyone hear more news on fastpass plus yet? When does it start? Also I have heard you can reserve 3 attractions per day up to 60 days ahead, but is there a way you can reserve more when you get there, or even a little earlier? Also do people staying onsite get more privileges with it? If so thats really bad. Anyone think disney has gone to far with that?

The news and rumors board has multiple threads on FP+. Right now disney is in test pages with the new system, with the test you get 3 FP+ reservations that you can only use at one park per day no park hopping option as of right now. The new system is rumored to have a full rollout come October or November. As of right now disney is testing four FP+ reservations only at MK. You can reserve attractions, parades, and night time shows with the new system. There are also rumors that disney will offer more FP+ reservations for on site guests. Which I think is good because on site guests should have those privileges. But everything right now is in test mode.

You pick 3 for the Magic Kingdom and then the system gives you a bonus 4th pick. You can then go in and change that bonus pick to something else, if you like.

Glad to know we aren't the only ones who only have 3 FP+'s for MK.

I still don't believe that onsite guests should have exclusive extra FP+ privileges. I have no problem with offsite possible paying extra for some privileges but otherwise I think that this is unfair.

Only time will tell what will actually happen though.

Anyway I think the FP+/magic bands are AMAZING! I didnt think i'd like reserving the rides so far in advance, but it actually worked out great! I loved it! Its so much easier planning the rides around ADRs as well. Since youre booking ADRs, booking 3 rides shouldnt be very difficult.

The only thing that ticked me off was that two rides were down. we didnt get a chance to ride the new test track. After we customized our vehicle we stood in line (THE FASTPASS LINE) for about 10 min. That was way too long for a fastpass line. Eventually they made an announcement that the ride was down and handed out fastpasses, which we didnt get to use later. That same day we did check back to see if it was running, and it was, but the FP line was huuuuuuge! Awful.

Another beef of mine, unrelated for FP but here it goes. Toy Story wait times are highly inaccurate most of the time! At one point is said 120 min wait. YES, you read that right, 120 min! I tell my son, theres just no way. So we go in, and the line was so short!! We only waited about 15 min!!! That happened last year too. Funny enough, the FP line was longer. Lol. Whats going on with that ride?

I think because Disney has decided todo the phased roll-out with its resorts first, the number of rumors about onsite guests getting more in the new system has ramped up. Everything with the new system is based on the ticket attached to your account. The only resort component is some resorts have it already and some don't.

Two thoughts... What if you don't use ADRs as anchor events, then do ride reservations become less desirable?

We ran into the same thing last year at TSM. CMs were out front warning people that the wait would be two hours, be we were getting on in twenty minutes.

We didnt have that many adrs this trip, and we still thought the FP+ was great. Loved it. So to answer your question, no, it doesnt become less desirable.

RE: TSM, I think CM's tell ppl its 2 hours wait (as a lie) so they could get the FP people thru quickly. I honestly do.

There are no fastpasses of any kind during EMH. There never has been.
As for the 4 FP+, we got 4 each MK day and were given LM as the bonus. We were able to change to PP one day, but the other day it wont let us change it at all.

Mine were Splash, BTMRR and Space but I changed Space to ETWB.

I figured we'd wait for LM since I want to see the queue

We are going to WDW in oct, staying at poly, we only got 3 FP + at MK. Is there a trick to get 4?

We were only able to get 3 FP+ for MK. We are going in October too.
