Fastpass juggling question complicated by an in-park ADR

Now that we are 23 days out, DH has suddenly decided that *maybe* we should shuffle a couple of park days and go to Epcot with his brother's family instead of having that be an "off day" for us. In order to get any fastpasses for it, I would have to cancel our fastpasses from a different day. The day I would be most-comfortable dropping our fastpasses for would be our HS day because there just isn't as much there that I feel like we *need* FPs for (aside from TSMM, and we could just rope-drop that....my kids won't ride TT or RnR) as opposed to other park days where I have 7DMT or FoP fastpasses that I would be giving up.

HOWEVER

We have an ADR for Mama's with the fantasmic dining package on our HS day.

Can I drop the FPs for that day and use them another day (Epcot with BIL's family) with the plan to just add an aditional day to our tickets once we get down there? Or will the computer system recognize that we *need* to have a ticket for the ADR and still not let me shuffle the fastpasses? Because I would be trying to get into a park 8 times with a 7-day ticket?

Your ADR remains intact without the ticket. Just upgrade and add another ticket entitlement when you arrive.

If you purchased your tickets from Disney, call and they will add on a day for you.

I do feel your pain on the last minute thing. I am a mega planner who picks our the hotel at 360 day, makes my restaurant reservations at 180 (tomorrow) and of course fast passes at 60. Tomorrow I will make all the reservations and I know for sure someone in my family will want to make it change in 3 months claiming I never said a word (sigh). You are much nicer than me about changes cause after Fastpasses in my house I have the No Change Rule.

Your suggestion worked exactly like you said it would. We dropped our HS fastpasses and had no issues booking Epcot passes. Tickets were purchased through a TA, so we will just add a day once we get down there.

Your TA should be able to call and have that additional ticket entitlement added on for you. Then you’ll be able to book FPs for your ‘new’ DHS day.

Glad you're able to add an additional ticket day! Like you found out, FPs are not tied to ADRs in any way.

I had to very, very sadly give up my carefully booked F! package this summer as we had to switch some days of our vacation around. I just couldn't make it work with the F! package. I am still a bit sad about that but overall, it worked better for our itinerary. We grabbed seats at the rear for F! It was OK but we were far from the action. Thankfully, my SIL still thought the show was fab.
