Fastpass for under 3's?

We will be are Disneyland next week with 2 kids aged 4 and nearly 2. The 2 year old does not need an admission ticket so how do we go about getting Fastpass for the rides he can go on? I understand you insert your ticket to get a Fastpass but he won't have a ticket. Or do under 3's not need a ticket to get on rides with adults? There are only a few Fastpass rides he could go on - Autopia and Roger Rabbits Car Toon Spin are the ones I have seen.
Also should we take some form of ID to show at the entry gates in case we need to prove his age? Not that he looks 3 but you never know.

Thanks
Goldie

I'm trying to think if there are any FP rides that a 2 year old can go on...I'm thinking they all have height requirements. But if there is one your little one can go on, you won't need a FP for them.

I think Buzz Lightyear is for all heights? Autopia does have a height requirement but I don't know it off the top of my head.

You're right that your child won't be able to get a FP without a ticket. And someone had posted here fairly recently about having trouble getting her unusually tall 2-year-old (almost 3) onto Grizzy River Rapids, I believe it was, because the child didn't have a FP.

But that was a ride that they aren't used to seeing 2-year-olds on! For Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin and Buzz Lightyear, I am sure CMs see kids without FPs all the time. I'm guessing you won't have any problems. Hopefully someone who's done this can confirm!

Like the PP said, a 2 year old is probably too short to go on most of the FP rides at DLR. (If he is unusually tall they might think he should have a FP because they'll think he's over 3, but I'd assume you could talk your way out of it.) I don't have any experience with it at DLR, but at WDW we took my kids (before they were 3) on a zillion rides with no FPs for them. In fact, there have been many times where they were over 3 and the CM didn't ask them for an FP, so we just held on to them and we went right back on again. :)

You will have no problem not having a FP for your 2 year old on Roger Rabbit, Autopia, or Buzz. I agree that the person with a 2 year old that can ride GRR (I'm still trying to imagine a 2 year old that's as tall as my 5 year old!!) ran into an issue since it is highly unusual for someone under 3 to be 42" tall.

You won't need FPs for your 2-year-old, especially since he won't have a ticket, and you need a ticket in order to get FPs, so as long as the adult riding along has FPs, it should be ok.

As far as ID that shows his age, last time we went to DL our almost 3-year-old was around 38", and no one ever questioned his age, if that gives you an idea.

Have a great trip!

We never had any problem w/ not having a FP for our DD (last year when she was 2) either. She just walked right on w/ us. :goodvibes
