I looked before posting and did not see what I was looking for. We are travelling with our 2 yr old granddaughter. Since she did not need to have a purchased ticket since she is under 2 does that also mean she will not be able to get a fast pass to rides like TSM? We would like to get fastpasses early for TSM and Dumbo but wasn't sure if she will be eligible to get one or not? Does she still get something showing she has a ticket even though she is free?

Children under 3 aren't required to have a fastpass. They just go on along with their adult (who does have a fastpass).

Also, Dumbo is not a fastpass ride.:)

Maybe some CMs do it differently, but in my experience EVERY person going on the ride in the Fast Pass lane needs a FP. I have gone on several trips when my daughter was under 3 and she always needed a FP. There is usually a cast member near the FP distribution and you just tell them you have an under 3 yo in your party and they push the button on the machine to issue a FP. My daughter is now 4, so maybe this has changed since last fall when she was still under 3....:confused3

We never needed one for my son when we went. He was only 6 months old though. I have never heard of having to get one though.

Children under 3 don't need a FP but everyone else in the party must have one. The CM's know that they don't have a ticket and can't get a FP. We have traveled with under 3's in our party for several years, as recently as August and have never, ever been asked for a FP for the toddler.

When you enter the FP line just tell the CM your child is under 3 and he/she will be waived in with the rest of the paty.

DH didn't have any problem taking DD (18 months) on to TSM this past week with his FastPass. The girl just waived him through.

Wow! This is interesting. In our seven trips with children under three, we have never once been asked to produce a fastpass for a child who doesn't have a park ticket. We have visited all four parks numerous times too. The policy as it was told to me by a cast member is any 'under 3' child doesn't need a FP. Our two most recent trips we had 4 people with only two fastpasses (DS is 2 and DD is an infant).

Thanks to all of you who have posted. I was hoping it wasn't going to be complicated. She (DGD2) will probably enjoy some of the rides as much as her 4 yr old sister.

16 days to go!!!

We were there in March DS turned 3 last day of our trip.
Showed/Handed the CM's 3 fastpasses (dh, dd, and me) never once was questioned for fastpass for ds

Have a great trip!!

We just returned and our 2 year old daughter did not need a fastpass for any of the rides that we used fastpasses for.
