Of course, we'll FP+ one and walk on the other but is there a general consensus about which strategy sves the most time or is it a wash?

While I'm at it, we will use FP+ in HS on TSMM, but what's the strategy for RnR vs. ToT?

I think it's a wash. However, consider TT has a single-rider option.

I agree with mesaboy. If your party is OK with being split apart for about 5 minutes, go with single rider at Test Track, especially fairly early in the day.

Definitely FP+ for Soarin' and then Single rider line for Test Track. You probably won't be able to ride together but usually aren't more than one or two cars apart. One of the problems with single rider at Test Track is if you want the ride picture.

Same thing at DHS. Rock-n-Roller Coaster has a single rider line that usually makes your wait considerably shorter.

I'd use your FP+ for Soarin'...use the single rider line for TT.

That's what I would do if you could pull me away from World Showcase! ;)

I'm going to go against the grain here. I have always found Soarin to be VER doable at Rope Drop. Get there first thing, you should have no problem riding standby with a very short wait. We have gotten in 2, 3, even 4 rides with under a 20 minute wait during the first hour. Get FP+ for TT, but not until say 9:45 - 10:45 so you get your fill of Soarin', then go use the FP on TT.

I've heard this as well. On another site I frequent, people have mentioned that more people seemed to head toward TT first for some reason instead of Soarin' which they're likely using FP+ for. If you don't want to do TT single rider, doing Soarin' standby at RD could be a good alternative.

I always choose Soarin FP over TT. Soarin is my favorite ride in wdw. It also has one of the slowest and most boring queues ever! So avoiding that as much as possible is what I intend to do. Test Track has a single rider line which is great! I will try for a 4th FP if they are still available the day of. But we always FP Soarin over TT.

Soarin is doable at RD. But this trip we will be at Epcot in the afternoon on 3 of the days we are there. Our arrival day we will be getting to the park at about 1-2pm and then again 2 days later for EMH and again for our last night. I just couldn't make it there for RD this year with our other plans for the other 3 parks. But I have gone at RD and Soarin was always a walk-on if you head straight to it.

We did soarin back when they had the old fast pass system. Back then it was impossible to do it by stand by line. I don't know how it is now, but I don't see a problem with either of the rides if u do them at rd. We always get a FP for test track bc that's my sons favorite ride. He loves designing the car and then when we finally hit the outdoor track that's his favorite part lol

I don't understand this question. :confused3: If you get a FP for TSMM, you can also get one for ToT - TSMM is tier 1 while ToT is tier 2. That would only leave you with RnR that would have to be done standby.

And as siskaren knows, RnRC also offers a Single Rider queue.

I would personally tend to lean towards a FP for TT. I don't like the single rider line as you don't get to design your own car which I think is one of the coolest parts of the attraction.

There are design kiosks in the single rider line now, although I've seen them turned off some days. I was just there Sunday and from the FP+ line I was able to see several people in the single rider line working on designing their vehicles.

If the kiosks in the single rider line are turned off when you are there and you want to design a car just do the following:
1. Leave the single rider line
2. Go in the exit of the ride on the far right of the building
3. Walk through the gift shop, and stay along the left wall of the big room with the Chevy cars you can sit in

You will find 3 design kiosks where you can design your own car for the attraction. Once designed, you can then go back to the single rider line.

Unless its changed since I was there in June, the kiosks in the single rider line have very limited design capability. You pick just a few things and thats it.

I agree about using the 3 kiosks towards the exit! I wish they'd put a couple more in. What I do, if they're available, is use them AFTER I've ridden TT, then I'm good for the next time. The design remains connected to your band or ticket for quite some time. One time I used my design from several months prior.

Thanks for the clarification. I have no idea what they do or don't allow in the single rider line, I just know they are there. I have 2 small kids, so we never use single rider. We do always use the FP line and I can see the single rider kiosks from there.

We were at RD, about 15 people back in our line, and headed straight to TT. By the time we got there, it already had a posted 25 minute wait! We decided to do single rider line and our family ended up being the first ride of the day and all got to be together. I guess the first people in the SB line were still stuck on designing their cars.

I've had that happen shortly after a re-opening after a rain delay. One time, as a single rider, I had the entire car to myself.

I would FP TT. I think that ride moves so. slowly. Soarin seems to keep moving.
