Fastpass Enforcement coming?

Note, it says NOTHING about "XPass"! Clearly, this is about late fastpass use having a negative impact in some way. This new rule has nothing to do with "XPass", at this point, to suggest otherwise is deceptive.

Hardly clear to me. And to suggest otherwise isn't deception, it's honest conjecture.

d@mn right I don't want to! Personally I think calculating wait times, ride times, ADR times, and whatever else is way too much math and a poor use of my vacation time.

I vacation to get away from rigid deadlines and clock watching, I guess other people don't feel the same. :sad2:

but you don't have to.... I go to disneyworld every year without a plan. Don't want to watch a clock, simply don't do it. I make a few ADR's and if we dont feel like eating we cancel them.

I go to TSM an soarin, I look at the wait time and make a decision on whether to wait or get a fast pass. The only plan we have is to hit the major rides first. we never, ever do rope drop and still hit all the majors 2 times.

We have wonderful vacations with children without calculating any thing but what to wear according to the weather report. It can be done.

I really think you'll be fine

Easier to do when you can pick the slow times to go. Not so easy when you have no choice but to go when crowds are 9 or 10 (teacher).

Just my 2 cents.. For the past 3 years we have gone to WDW for Spring Break..I was the last person to find out that you could use FP's beyond their time..(Meaning I only found out a few months ago.) We have only waited in 1 line during any Easter week we have been there and of course it was TSM..(Only because we arrived there in the afternoon after spending the morning at AK.) We go to non EMH and get to our park at rope drop. We follow a touring plan and by noon we have done every major attraction and then go to the non popular ones.. We take a break late afternoon and come back for a few hours in the evening when it seems to be easier.. While I TOTALLY understand disapointment for those who have used FP's late and may no longer be able to do so, It is doable.. (For us quite easy.) :thumbsup2

sure it does, i use the fast passes within my time frame i always have. if they stop allowing people to hoard fast passes they wont run out as fast

There isn't any data to support that hypothesis yet.

What I believe is most likely to happen is that they run out just as fast, or perhaps slightly slower - they are just going to go in to a different set of hands. :) At least up until the point that Fastpass pulling dwindles down. Then they might stretch out longer. Not sure that ever will happen at TSM though :)

Doesn't matter, that fast passes were limited. Some refuse to believe, they were acquired and used legally. Virtual line is a concept, some can't grasp. The upcoming enforcement, only makes them feel validated. It won't improve the availability of FP or reduce wait time in standby. They don't/ won't get it, not now....not ever.

I'm not sure you are fully aware of what the word "hoard" really means.

The thing is, it should be clear to everybody that they aren't making this change because there was a problem with people coming back late, they are changing it because they intend to change/increase the use of fastpass, which makes it more necessary to get people coming back at a specific time. There may be rides in the future where there is no standby line, you just grab a ticket and come back when you're supposed to.

But is there a horde of hoarders taking all the Fastpasses?

Yes, and they all returned late. I know because I looked at all their tickets as I stood in the standby line for an extra 2,000 years due to their late FP use.

LOL. :rotfl2: I think I'm the only person on the planet that didn't realize you could use your Fastpasses past the end time. We race to get there before our tickets expire......We're going to take advantage of the "extra" time next week....before they change the system!

Dumb question. It what is X-Pass :confused3.

You know what I'd like........if they slowly distributed FP's throughout the day instead of distributing them continually until they're gone. Say after 1000 have been distributed, (or whatever number) the machines "pause" with a message to the affect that more FP's will be available at such and such a time. That would be a nice perk for those of us that don't get up at the crack of dawn to do rope drop.

BTW........I still have a great vacation even though we rarely ride those popular rides because of the way we visit the parks, but it's a nice thought. It's our choice that we visit the way we do, knowing we'll miss some attractions.

i disagree, now people arent going to waste a FP window and get a ticket on tickets they wont be able to use. so not as many people are going to pull them
