Fastpass clarification question......

This raised a question for me. If I understand the FastPass system correctly, you can only have 1 FP at a time, and can't get another one until the time on the 1st one is expired. Correct? That being said. If I get a FP for RSR with a return time of 8pm at 10am, I cannot get a FP for Soarin' (or any other DCA ride) until after 8pm correct?

No, you will be able to get another two hours after you got that one. It is whichever comes quicker - two hours or when the window opens up.

Incorrect. Your FP will have the return printed on it yes, but at the bottom you will also have the time that you can get your next FP. Normally there is a 2 hour wait before you can get your next FP.

For instance, if you get a RSR FP at 8 am and it has a return time of 8 pm, at the bottom of your ticket it will say "your next FP is available at 10 am"

Thank you!! It's been almost 2 years since we were last there, so my brain is a little foggy! (Then again, I can't remember what I ate for breakfast! :rotfl2:)

No worries, happy to help. :) If I had a photo of a FP on my work computer I'd post it for you but I don't. :)

I'm not confused, I'm just asking to make sure. Getting a FP early morning with a returning window in the evening (just an example)means we have to plan the day around attractions with a different approach than in previous trips.
The impact would be that instead of waiting only 40 minutes to get your second FP set you have to wait two hours. However, if you visit on a day when DCA opens at 8 or 9AM then that would not really require a different approach from before June regarding FPs. Before June DCA did not open until 10AM. So you are in the park earlier.

Before you could get your first FP at 10AM and second at 10:40AM. Now you can get RSR FP at 8:30AM and a second FP at 10:30AM. Not much different from before.

I hadn't considered that on our last trip CA opened at 10:00 am. Thanks for bringing that up :goodvibes

I agree with the others that this advice is not correct. Once your entrance ticket is scanned at either DL or DCA it can be used at the opposite park to obtain FPs without entering that park except for say one person from your group who takes your ticket with them. I have done this personally countless times.

Hmmmm, I certainly thought that were the case, and well, I was speaking from the experience my coworker just had. She was there for the half marathon, and had park hopper tickets. She said she witnessed CMs turning TONS of people away, telling them they had to be in the DCA park and could not be a Disneyland to obtain their RSR fastpasses. :confused3
