FastPass+ Bling

I just received 3 sets of magic bands (we are doing a split stay....plus we are PAP holders). The one set came with the "bling" slide on that says "Annual Pass holders". I read on here that some have received the bling that says DVC member. We did not. Anyone know why? Can I request one when we check in? Not that it matters.....but I love my DVC and all my little trinkets I've received over the years (remember when they used to send free pins when a new resort opened?).

On another note, I was able to book fastpass+ for the new parade, the main st. electrical parade and the reserved spot in the rose garden for wishes. Has anyone done any of these yet? Is it worth it? We've watched the MK fireworks lots of times from our balacony when staying at BLT; but we opted to save points and get a lake view, so I'm not counting on getting one of those great rooms that gives me a side view of the MK.

I keep checking to see the the Runaway Mine train has been added yet to fastpass+. Not yet. But I did see where you can now sign up for more fastpasses at kiosks after you use up your current ones. Glad to see that Disney is reacting to peoples suggestions.

We didn't get DVC bling either- we have our 2013 and 2014 AP slider but no DVC slider. Boo!

WE are leaving in 2 weeks and we have not gotten our magic bands. Shouldl I call? We do have reservations, fastpass, etc all set up.
Never mind, I found my problem, never verified address.

I got the DVC sliders with the ones I customized with my DVC reservation next month. I got an AP slider with the one I customized through the passholder website.

We have a trip coming up starting May 14th and we will be getting three MB sets. Also we received the AP MBs and the first 2 segments have arrived. Only the second set had the DVC member slider, we checkin after our cruise on May 24. There were in the portion of the box that holds the MBs we just received yesterday. DH had to really shake it to find the second slider as it was wedged tight and wasn't moving around.

BTW I had to loosen the MB after adding the slider, it was just too tight and pinched.

Some are getting the sliders for DVC and some aren't. No explanation given but likely just a factor of quirks in the system while rolling out something new.

As to using the FP+ for parades and wishes, I have not done so but you may want to rethink using one of your FP+ for something that is only late night such as the nightly parade or wishes. As you note, you can now get additional FP's at the park, but you can do so only after you have used the three you have and if one of those three is a late night event, you cannot get any additional FP's.

Yes....I realize I will give up any early a.m. FP+ items in exchange for my guaranteed spots for the parades and fireworks. I'm lucky that it will work out fine for us that way. This trip we will be spending more time at the MK since we can walk there, so one afternoon/evening will be dedicated to those three things. Cannot even remember the last time we actually got to stand or sit and watch and entire parade or have a great view of the fireworks from ground level. And on the mornings that we do get FP+ for MK stuff, we can hopefully get other FP if we go to another park. Missing out on any really great groups we want to see at the Flower Power concert.

We plan on doing other stuff we have not done in a while....water parks, DisneyQuest, and the Richard Petty race car ride along. I love my DVC!

Oh, and thanks all for the answers about the magic band sliders. Maybe I'll go and haunt Gib for one if we get over to the DVC sales area.

I read somewhere (maybe on a FB group?) that the new sliders are just coming out with late may stays (I believe it was either late may or June). But that sometime in the next week or two front desks would have them. I'll try to find the article /link for you. I also have the 2013 and the pass holder ... I need the DVC to complete my collection!

Of course they had to go and put the year on these things so I'll be all annoyed if I can't get one every year!

receive an exclusive Disney Vacation Club® MagicSlider with their
MagicBand for reservations with a check-in date of May 11 or later.

• Members that have not received DISNEY VACATION CLUB MagicSliders may
request them at the Front Desk during check-in starting May 11.

• Members are eligible for the MagicSliders if they customize within
the 5 day window even if stay date is before May 11.
