Ok if you're a seasoned DIS'er and have seen this question a lot, please roll eyes and move quietly on LOL. But I did a search, and can't find anything that makes sense to me. My son is 42 inches and will probably ride Test Track and Soarin'. My daughter is only one though so obvioulsy DH or have to stay on the sidelines with her. So, if we get 3 fastpasses for an attraction, (DH, DS, and myself) can my son ride twice? Meaning my husband goes with son and rides while I wait, and then comes back and I take my fastpass plus a rider swap ticket to ride with my son? We got fastpasses and rider switch passes last time but never had the need to use them together as my son was too short last year to ride the big attractions.

I really don't want to ride myself if I don't have too.

Yes you can! This is a big bonus for older siblings who get to ride extra until the little one is big enough.:)

Do kids under one still get a ticket for the ability to get fastpasses?

The reason I ask is that what we did with us (2 adults, 15 yr old, and 3 yr old) is that we just got 4 fastpasses. Me and sd and I would ride with 2, then my dh and her would ride. From what I understand, what we could have done is got a child swap, then the 2 could have used fastpasses, then we could have gotten back in the FP line with the child swap... not using the other FPs...essentially each adult riding twice, and the older child riding 4 times.

HOWEVER, I am by no means a seasoned Diser, and none of this would apply if a 1 yr old doesn't get a ticket for the purposes of fastpasses. In that case, it would work exactly like you said. I think.

The one year old will not get a ticket, so no fastpasses for them. Kids under 3 don't need a fastpass if the other members of their party have one since there is no way for them to get one.

As for a child swap, even without the fastpasses, your older child can still ride twice (once with each of you).

As a group, go to the entrance of the ride and ask for a rider switch pass. You must have the child who isn't tall enough with you when you ask. If you child is physically able to ride, but just doesn't want to, you would not be able to use the Rider Switch pass (not the case here if the ride has height restrictions). The person will ask who is riding now and give the pass to the one(s) who are waiting. If the first round riders have fastpasses, they will go through the fastpass line, if not they will go through the regular line. Once the first group has ridden, up to three people can use the Rider Switch pass to get back on the ride using the fastpass line. The person who waited can take two others with them so they don't need to ride alone (it doesn't matter if the people going with you just got off the ride--so your older child can ride once with each of you). The Rider Switch pass is valid all day after you get it, so you don't have to ride back to back if you don't want to.

I hope that helps. Have fun!
