Fastpass + and Parade Viewing

Has anyone used Fastpass+ for parade viewing. I initially thought this was a good idea because you wouldn't have to stake out a spot so early. But do you get a good spot or could their still be people in front on you?

I was also thinking about FP for the parade, but it's located in front of the castle and we are going to be coming back to the park in the eve just for the parade so I want to get a spot by the gates

We used it for the electrical parade. The spot was very good but we only got there 25 min before the parade so we were in the second row, sitting. Still good spot for not having to go early at all and we just stayed put for wishes.

In December we used FP for the Electric parade. It was AMAZING. We got there about 45 minutes early and got front row right in front of the castle. We just stayed where we were for the fireworks and it was PERFECT! LOVED it.
