I can't seem to find a straight answer to this question anywhere.

My sister is a seasonal cast member and is getting my family in with her CM Maingate passes in September. We are all staying on the property at one of the resorts. Is it possible to link her maingate passes to our Magic Bands that we are getting, so that we can reserve the fastpass+ stuff early before we get into the parks in September?

Thanks!

Not currently. The last I saw was "fall," but who knows what that means.

Currently CM's can only make FP+ selections the day of. Meaning you will not have access to the FP+ system until you are in the park. This may change, however, but I seriously doubt it. Its a perk for paying guests, no offense, I don't think CM's should be able to book FP+s in advance since they already get free admission for their friends and family.

However, the crowds in September are some of the lowest reported in the whole year, so don't panic, you'll still be able to do (most) everything :goodvibes

Thanks so much for your reply. Just wanted to know for sure. We tend to try and go in September for this very reason.

Just wanted to present a different take on this. My DH is a CM, but we don't live in Florida. We are a 3 hour plane ride away from WDW. We can't just walk into the parks on any day of the week and enjoy the rides that are available. We usually visit WDW one week per year.

The ability to go into the parks for free and enjoy them the same as any paying guest is part of my DH's benefit and compensation package with his employer. As such, he should be able to enjoy FP+ in some capacity. My DH works very hard for the WD Company. He loves his job...and I think he has definitely earned this part of his compensation package.

Just a different POV :)

Agreed. This is sold as a perk to CM's as part of their benefits. Why should they not get all the same benefits of it? Also, CM's spend their money on resorts, food, and merchandise (albeit at a discount). Yes they get park entrance for free, but everything else they have to pay for. Hoping they change this for CM's eventually. I get that it's not the first priority...but hopefully one day.

Also, does anyone know if CM's can get magic bands? Or do they just get cards?
