Before I post my question, I just have to say this is my first post, but I’ve been a lurker for years. The insight I’ve gained and fun I’ve had are invaluable!! This will be my 5th WDW trip, and I’ve been to DLR 3 times. I’ve never had to post before because I’ve found all my questions already answered! Thanks so much!

So here’s my question: family of 4 arriving at Holiday Inn at Disney Springs on July 14. We are staying 9 nights and have 8 day tickets. We are not going to the parks the day of arrival or the day of departure. We booked through the Disney site and have an MDE account with everything all linked up. Does our 60 day window begin from the day of our arrival (which means book tomorrow) or the day we first enter the parks?

Bonus question: do I really get to make all fastpass reservations for all 8 park days at the same time? This will be my first fast pass+ trip, and I am sooo excited! I’m usually the “runner” zigzagging across the park to pick up paper fast passes!

Check-in date.
Unless you bought tickets dated separately from your resort stay, they have no way of knowing when you will start using your tickets.

:welcome: to posting on the DISboards, Robin!!

That hotel lets you book Fastpasses at 60 days. So, I'm fairly certain that means you can book FPs for your whole stay at once.

Yuppers!
Although be wary of the fact that some fastpasses go quicker than others.
So if you Animal Kingdom day isn't until day 6 you may still want to book Flight Of Passage amongst your first Fastpass bookings since it goes REALLY quick. (it's also an amazing ride)
You don't need to book in order. You can jump back in forth in the timeline you are at the resort.
Just don't get too crazy bouncing all over the place and wind up booking the wrong passes on the wrong days (i.e. when you planned a day off or something).

Book FP+ in order of priority/difficulty not chronologically. For example, if Flight of Passage is your most important FP+ (And it’s hard to get), book it first regardless of which day you are visiting AK.

A FP+ for Living with the Land and similar attractions can be booked at the end of your FP+ list.

I usually make a list that looks like the one below. I use it when I book my FP+.

1/17 - Flight of Passage
1/13 - Slinky Dog Dash
1/15 - Seven Dwarves Mine Train
Etc.

Actually, if you want to change any FP after you book them, all you have to do is go back in and choose 'modify.' It is very easy.

If say, you get your FP, but then realize you'd prefer a different FP time, it isn't hard to go back in and modify them, or even change them to a different attraction.

First: book Flight of Passage, Slinky Dog, 7DMT, Frozen ever After,- on any days you want them
Second: book the rest of your tier 1 attractions
Third: pick your #2 and #3 FP for each day.
Fourth: check over everything, and make changes.

You might even find better options pop up when you go back and modify them.

Thanks so much! The family sat down and went through our FP preferences, and dh said, “do you have a list?” Actually, I have a spreadsheet. :) I am so excited!
