Hi all - this August will be our 1st trip using FP+. When I log into MDE it shows 30 days out. So am I not eligible for making the FP+ 60 days out b/c I am DVC using old tickets? We do not have AP's. Thanks!

Make sure your resort reservation is showing up in the MDE account. Often my dvc reservations have to be manually linked. Also you can only book fast passes for the amount of days you have tickets for. Remember your tickets need to be linked to your MDE account too.
Those staying at WDW can make FP+ 60 days from arrival date. Those not staying at WDW can make them 30 days out. The MDE computer system is set up to show that, if you have park tickets attached to your account, you can make FP+ up to 30 days from whatever the current date is even if you are not going to be at WDW within the next 30 days (a logical system choice since it has no way of knowing if and when you will be at WDW if you are staying off site). As long as you also have an on-site room reservation attached to your MDE account, it will, beginning 60 days out from date of arrival, show you can make FP+ for time you will be at WDW. If you are in fact 60 days or less out from arrival to a DVC resort (today, June 10, is 60 days out from Aug 9) and system is not allowing you to make FP+, then you either have an issue with the information in your MDE account or a system error for which you will need to call to have fixed.
We have a weird situation that we are booked for our room with DVC, but our tickets were purchased through Disney Youth Education Services (YES) program. The YES website says that if we request it (which we did) they will give us the code for our tickets - but only will send it to us at EXACTLY 60 days. So, hopefully that will work out.
But it's definitely the case that at 60 days you can start to book. You should also be able to book for the length of your stay similar to the 180+10 rule for ADRs. Call it a 60+10 rule. (Or maybe its 60+14, I don't know what the limit is.
We are staying DVC at the Poly & have park tickets showing in MDE. We are not traveling until late August, but when I log into MDE it shows 30 days from today. So I guess I have to wait until it is 60 days & then it will show that way. I hope!!
