This has probably been asked before but what is the fastest way to a Magic Kingdom resort hotel from the Orlando airport?
About how long does it take to get there?
Thanks!!:flower3:

Well the fastest route would be taking a taxi or by reserving a town car service, which both cost money. As for how long it takes I am assuming it could be about 40 - 50 minutes, plus you need to figure waiting for your checked bags.

However you could also make reservations to go on Disney Magical Express and from what I have read on various threads it could take around 70 minutes from the time you step off the plane, until you arrive at your WDW Resort. That's assuming you will have Magical Express deliver your checked bags, because you don't need to pick them up. So once you step off the plane go right to the Magical Express check-in counter and then you will wait for the bus to your resort. Finally all of the resorts share the Magical Express routes for the specific areas they are located at, so there is no order of where the bus will stop first because it's never set in stone.

We are staying at Shades of Green (no ME option)
We are renting a car so I guess I should have clarified.....the fastest way to drive to a MK resort.
Thanks guys

Well since your renting a car I am going to tell you the directions my family and I have went after leaving Orlando International Airport. We always go on the Beach Line Expressway (528) - Interstate 4 Westbound and then we get off at exit 67 when entering Walt Disney World. From there you would follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom and once you pass the Magic Kingdom toll gates keep driving straight and then turn left towards the TTC and the Polynesian, so from there you will see the signs for Shades of Green.

I prefer to come out the south exit of the airport and hit HWY 417 (I think) which is a toll road. It never seems to have any traffic. We then take the HWY 526 exit which runs you directly onto disney property. Swing around behind Epcot and your at the MK toll booths.

Yeah, I remember reading something about a toll road from the airport. I think that sounds better than I-4.
Thanks!

The south route just doesn't have the traffic that I-4 carries, especially if you happen to be stuck on I-4 during rush hour. The south route is WAY better and faster than I-4.

Follow the signs for the south route out of the airport - turns into Boggy Creek Road. Boggy Creek road runs into 417 aka Central Florida Greenway, which is a toll route (but so is 528 which you have to take to get to I-4).

Go west on 417 and look for the signs for WDW and you will easily get to your resort. It's about a 25 - 30 minute drive airport to WDW resort.
