Fastest way to Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Can someone tell me the fastest way to get to Mickey's Backyard Barbeque?

We are going in March and were trying to figure out the best way to get there. Would we be better driving and catching the bus at Ft Wilderness or is there a boat that will take us there?

Where will you be staying?

There is a boat from MK to Fort Wilderness and also one from the Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary Hotel. It is a short walk over the the bar-b-q from the dock, just look for the rivercountry water tower. If you drive to the Fort Wilderness parking lot- any of the buses marked settlement will take you to the back area and then it is a short walk from there too. When we were there in Dec they had a temporary bus stop set up in the middle of the parking lot while they were repairing the main stop. Don't know if it is still that way, but it's easy to spot.

We will be staying at the Pop Century, but will probably be at MK that day.

If you're coming from MK, take the boat over to FW. After you get off the dock, you'll have a short 5 minute walk over to the pavillion. (if you want a good seat, get there at least a half hour early)

I guess, by now, your trip is over. Are you already planning next year's? We are going in June and are staying at Pop and have a PS to M's BBQ. What can you tell me about both of these?

The country band at the BBQ - do they play cover songs or songs you've never heard before?
