What is the fastest way to get to Downtown Disney?

Last time we went I remember the Disney bus ride being extremely long. Is there a quicker option?

From where? From the theme parks, you must go to a resort to transfer to a bus to DD (thank the people who attempted free parking at DD for that one).

From the MK, you could walk over to CR. From Epcot, you could go out the IG to the Boardwalk or BC/YC (and similar from DHS).

In most cases the fastest option is to take a taxi. Each of the theme parks has a taxi stand (MK's is at the TTC), as do the resorts.

I second the recommendation for taxis to and from DTD. I've learned my lesson to avoid Disney buses to DTD, it just takes waaaaaaaaay too long.
