Fastest way to get to DHS from the MK?

I assume taking a bus to the Swan and then walking or taking a Friendship to DHS? Is that right? How long would that take, about 45 minutes?

Two steps from MK to DH:

1. Monorail or ferry from MK entrance to TTC.

2. Bus from TTC to to DHS.

The Monorail and ferry offer very frequent service because they also serve the MK parking lot.

I would allow an hour total, and then be delighted if it only takes half that long.

There are 2 routes that I would think would be faster than what you are suggesting.
1) Walk over to the CR and take the DHS bus from there.
2) Take the express monorail over to the TTC and get the DHS bus from there.
Either of these would be faster than going to the Swan/Dolphin and getting the boat. I would count on this taking 45 minutes to an hour. You can cut some of that time by walking to DHS after getting to the Swan/Dolphin, I have found that walking is faster than taking the boats. Unless one is right there when you arrive at the dock.
But if it were me, I would go for walking over to the CR and getting the DHS bus.

Since the bus station for the Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian and the one for the Transportation & Ticket Center are right next to each other at Hollywood Studios this is what I would do. I would wait for which ever arrives first and take that one. So if the Contemporary/Polynesian/Grand Floridian bus arrives first get on that one, then get off at the Contemporary which will be the 1st stop among those resorts and then use the walkway to the Magic Kingdom. However if the Transportation & Ticket Center bus arrives first get on that one, then when it arrives there you can either take the Express Monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom.

I think that the OP is talking about going to DHS from MK, not the other way around.

We have a Mama Melrose FDP at 4:45 and since its our first day in Disney DW wants to spend as much time in the MK as possible. But that sounds like a great way to park hop.

Ahhhhh, thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to a bus.
