FASTest WAY to get from A to B...please.

Ok Dis people, I need a little transportation info. We have an ADR for Boma @ 7:30AM. We will be staying @ AOA so what is the fastest way to get there & WHAT TIME do the WDW BUS system start running? *I am keeping the idea of taking a cab in the back of my mind.

Fastest is probably always going to be a cab. The buses start running at 6:30.

A taxi is the fastest way. Shouldn't cost you much more than about $20.

If taking the bus to AK, be at the stop by 6:30, and tell the driver you are going to Boma. At that hour, there's a good chance the driver will be able to drop you at AKL without changing buses (but no guarantee.)

You've gotten some good info. I would ask the driver, when getting on the bus to AK, about how long you may have to wait for the bus to AKL too come. As noted, the driver may very well drop you off at AKL himself. If he has time constraints or is just cranky, then he won't. But, if you ask in such a way as to have the driver feel that he is tossing a little pixiedust your way, he may suggest it!!!
And yeah...I know..I mentioned the 'p' word!!!!!

If you plan on using a Disney bus to get to your ADR, you need to be out at the bus stop by 6:30 at the latest. And you have no way of knowing how long you will have to wait for a bus to come along. Going by taxi you can just stroll out the front of your resort around 7am, hop in, and go.

I figure this will be our back up plan! I don't want to use the taxi card more than once on this trip, but this could be the day. Last year the taxi was perfect. It let us get rested after the late Christmas Party & make our am ADR.

Thanks for the info EVERYONE but I got an ADR for 9 AM!!!! Someone must have canceled knowing we'd love that space. So, as it turns out we'll be fine on the bus & well rested.

I don't necessarily agree that you will be fine with a bus. The AK Lodge where Boma is located is nowhere near AK Park. You will have to transfer buses somewhere, probably AK Park. With AK Park not opening until 9AM, there may not be a whole lot of buses running that will go back to AKL.

No worries, there are lots of buses from AK to AKL in the a.m. After dropping off guests from a resort at AK, many buses go to AKL to pick up guests for another destination.

The odds of getting dropped off at AKL without changing buses decrease as park opening approaches, but it still wouldn't hurt to mention your destination to the driver as you board. You may happen to be on one of those buses that is picking up at AKL after dropping off at AK.

What are you talking about? AKL is about a 7 minute drive from AK.

No worries, there are lots of buses from AK to AKL in the a.m. After dropping off guests from a resort at AK, many buses go to AKL to pick up guests for another destination.

The possible fly in the ointment is that in the morning, buses often run in a "drop off only" mode, where they drop guests at the parks, but don't pick up. I've been left in an awkward position in the past trying to leave a park by bus shortly after opening when there were no buses picking up passengers.

(I wish I could remember the explanation for this - I heard it once several years ago and it made sense once I understood it.)
