Hey guys. I'm wondering what's the best way to get back to the GCH when in Disneyland. Do you cut through DCA or go through Downtown Disney? Which has less walking? Also how far is the GCH entrance into DD from the monorail? I'm wondering if we're near Tomorrowland when ready to head back to the hotel, if it would make sense to use that rather than walk. Definitely less tiring.

At night thru DTD.

During the day (after touring DL in the morning), you might want to scoot thru DCA & pick up a Soarin' & Griz FP (it's on your route) on your way into the GCH secret entrance. :thumbsup2

We stayed there in March... when in DL we always went through DTD, but our room was pretty convenient to that entrance. If you happen to be closer to the CA side it might be quicker to go that way. So I guess it depends on where your room is.

In CA it was so handy. Right next to GRR, so if you go on and get soaked, it's just a quick dash up to your room to change. Another good thing was going back to the hotel for a midday break-- one parent would just run over to CA and grab GRR and another FP. Or, the kids were napping or swimming with the other parent, you could run and go single rider on California Screamin' or MM- something my kids didn't want to go on.

As far as the monorail-- yeah, if you're in Tomorrowland, it's probably just as good to take it as to walk out through the Main Street crowds. The GCH entrance is a good halfway down DTD, and the monorail entrance is down at the end, so it's probably pretty equal from the front gates; but from way back by Autopia, the monorail would be a good option. I think.
