Fastest Way from Epcot to Magic Kingdom

I'll be dining at Rose & Crown on Sept 2nd, our ADR is for 8pm, so i figure we'll be out by 9:15 or so. If we exit through the International Gateway and take a bus to the magic Kingdom, I am assuming that would be faster than taking the Monorail to the TTC then switching to the MK Express Monorail?

Do the Beach Club, Yacht Club & Boardwalk share buses? If so, which resort typically is last in the cycle?

Yes, Yacht, Beach, Swan, Dolphin all share busses to the MK. There is no rhyme or reason as to which bus is last in the cycle. It depends on where the bus is coming from as to where it enters that loop of buses.

The fastest way is monorail to TTC, then monorail to MK.

When did the Yacht and Beach start sharing busses with the Swan-Dolphin?
We stay at the BCV twice a year and never knew them to stop at Swan-Dolphin. We only use the bus service to the MK and the Yacht Club was the first stop.

You may be right, Yacht and Beach may not share with Swan/Dolphin for MK. Because of the crowd levels, MK seems to have the most dedicated buses.

We usually end up at the Epcot resorts after Illuminations and go to DTD, and all four resorts do share buses on that route. After many years of doing that and trying to figure out which one gets picked up last, I can't do it. It is different every time.

Ok, based on Ourlaughingplace.com's Transportation Calculator:

It takes 44 minutes by Monorail to get from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom. Normally I would take the monorail, but the fact that we would be heading to the front of the park with EVERYONE at park close I would think that means there would be reasonably long lines at the monorail. (I could be mistaken)

If I was able to catch a bus from Boardwalk that goes directly to MK it would be 14 minutes.

However, if the bus stopped at another resort it would be 37.

Looks like it might be a 50/50 shot LOL

The Epcot resorts don't always share buses. You'll be there Labor Day weekend, so they should have more buses rnning. When we were there, the Boardwalk bus went to Swan/Dolphin before going to MK. The entire trip only took about 20 minutes even with the stops.

I think it all depends on the wait time for the bus. Personally I'd take the YC/BC bus fight the crowds on the monorail at time illuminations ends.

Also if your ADR is 8pm you don't always get sitted right at 8pm I wouldn't expect to be done until at least 9:30. That way if you don't sit down until 8:15 you have some play in your schedule.

As someone who often stays at the BWV, I would not recommend waiting for a bus to the MK at that time (9:15 pm or later). IMO, you could end up waiting quite a while for the bus - buses just don't run as frequently to the MK in the late evening as they do at opening.

Your best best is to take the monorails.

P.S. The BWV currently shares bus service with the Swan & Dolphin. The YC/BC/BCV do not. In my experience, the only exceptions occur during mid day - if you are returning from the MK mid-day, it is not unusaul for all 6 resorts to share the same bus.

Considering that MK has Extra Magic Hours that night and it is the sunday of the labor day weekend, i think that evening buses to the Mk would be running a bit more frequently than normal. That was my rationale for considering YC, BC or Boardwalk

No, your own car is not the fastest way to the magic kingdom. It might be the fasted way to the parking lot.
