You can trade bands but why wouldn't you just make your FP for Buzz and your son and DIL make their FP for Space?

I'm guessing that all of the "Original" Scenario FPs have already been booked,
and they have now decided that the grandparents want to take the child on Buzz,
instead of the parents...

You can link your reservations in the friends and family section of MDE so that you can manage all fastpasses from 1 account.

You can link your entire party through My Disney Experience so FP+ can be scheduled together which lessens the need for coordinating via phone.

To link accounts, go into friends and family and select add. It'll walk you through the steps and you just put in your friends reservation number and your all linked up to make planning and photo sharing easier.

Yes, linking the reservations is the way to go, and one person can manage and book FPs for all.

You can, but you can also just get the fastpasses that each person needs for those ppl. - Not everyone has to have the same etc.

Switching is not a problem. DH rides few thrill rides and the things he rides we all wanted to ride as well. We booked his FP for something DS wanted to do and he would take DH band and go ride alone. We still got 9 FP for three people so not cheating anyone. A few things we booked someone decided not to ride so we either changed that FP or we would take that persons band with us through the line to scan so that FP will be used and we can get another.

We have 2 little kids and sometimes my moms comes with us. If I had a nickle for every time I switched up MB's for certain people to go on rides I'd have a lot of nickles!

In fact once at Epcot I booked TT with two bands and Soarin with the other two. Then I mentioned on the DIS how my mom and I FP'd TT and then FP'd Soarin and someone on the DIS accused me of lying!
