fast passes

can someone explain to me how I get the fast passes, do I get them when I get in the parks, does every park offer them, which ones do, should I or can I get them before hand?? I am going in April 2005.

Also, how do I set up the countdown to my trip on this, like everyone else does.

I would appreciate any help I can get.

You have to insert your Disney passport into a designated machine at the line entrance for the ride that you want to go on. It will in turn spit out a special fast pass along with your passport with a time frame in which you should return to get in a shorter line to ride the ride (depending on how busy it is-it could be 30 min. later or hours later) GL!
