When you roll up at your fast pass slot, do you pretty much walk onto the ride/character opportunity? Or is there still an element of queuing? If so, on average how long would you wait?

Typically you will still have a wait but it will be far shorter than the main que.
I think the longest we have waited 20 mins. Some you are lucky and it's a walk on. You have to remember the nature of some of the rides and how they load and unload as well.

Stroll up and scan your band or card and then maybe a short key and then usually scan at the end.

Some rides you join the normal queue at some point. Usually some queue but not usually long. On the odd occasion we found a queue to get into the fast pass queue. This was usually due to someone having an issue, for Kilimanjaro there was a 10 min q just to get into the fast pass q

Depends on the ride - mostly it will be a 5-10 minute wait.

Most we have waited was over30 minutes for Soarin

Soarin was our longest FPP wait too but then that was always the same with legacy FP for this ride too. Waited 30 mins at ToT with FPP but they only had one lift operating.

Agree with what the others have said but, in our experience, Toy Story Mania is usually the longest wait with FP+.
