Fast Passes?

I have read on here about people getting those 'special' fast-passes...and am wondering if there is anything that we can do to get them? Is it simply a matter of being in the right place at the right time?

We have never been to WDW before, only Disneyland, and have seen 'special' fast-passes on Disneyland resort people who told us that EVERYONE staying in a Disneyland resort got them. Any ideas?

Friend who just came back said that you goto the BLT, sit in a hour or so
spiel about the properties, advaitages, etc
and in the end they give you a 3 day fastpass to use anywhere
at any time...no waiting for the 1.5 hours till the next fastpass...

When I went to the DVC presentation last year, we received a special card good for 3 immediate return fastpasses at any open fastpass kiosk.

As much as I would LOVE to add points...it just isn't in the finances at this point in time, but I will keep that one in mind, and not add points unless I am in the park! THanks, Harlemgirl!!!
