Fast passes with old Magic Bands

You can buy the 2 MagicBands from the Shop Disney Parks app and link them prior to arrival. No harm as they don't link to any data for Mike and Jane.

I don't think it's necessary to do that FP #1 and #2 scenario as you can Modify your FPs as soon as you see the short wait time. It is easier to search for 1 person rather than 2 but why need to mess with MDE and not-so-great park wifi when you can have the correct # of FPs that you need to begin with. And, your phantoms will also have FPs.

Technically yes.... But be aware of potential cancellation fees. The basic magic bands are only $12.95 each. I feel that's more than a fair price for some more FP+ reservations. Why go through the hotel hassle?

Honestly... I kinda wish Disney would simply allow purchasing more FP+ reservations up front... But i understand why and also appreciated that they don't do that also.

I booked a campsite and got 10 MBs. I waited to get my bands then canceled the reservation. I have a one day ticket assigned to one of the MBs and used it to get night before FPs on our last trip for four of us.

Yes. Plus, you can also use Rider Switch and maximize FP booking.
