Fast passes for grandchildren...

How do you go about making fast passes for grandchildren and their parents at 30 days when they haven't any tickets until they arrive...? When our 30 day mark hits, I'd like to make fast passes for all....we're the grandparents with annual passes and we're all staying on property, separate studios at BLT.....renting points....

You can't unless they have valid tickets linked to their account.

I'll have to ask my brother in law....they were in WDW few months ago, stayed off property and made fast passes before they left....as far as I know, they bought tickets arrival day....ill see him today and find out the how...

You can buy tickets in advance, online through Disney or another source, and enter the number into MDE to link the tickets.

There is no way to make FP reservations without tickets linked.

You don't have to have tickets in hand, just a voucher or confirmation number representing that purchase.

And if you are onsite at BLT, your window opens at 60 days, not 30.

I'm not expert at this, but I believe if the rest of your family is linked to you in MDE, you can make FPs for them at 60 days as well (provided they have ticket media in their account).

Buy them ahead and like them to your MDE account. There is no way to make FP choices for them unless they have paid for their tickets and have them linked into your account.

Ticket media is necessary for a fp+. And the tickets need to be valid. I have my parents on my account but their tickets are all used up and mde let's me know that if I try to choose them.

If you are all staying on site, you will be able to make FP+ at 60 days, not 30, as long as everyone is listed on the room reservation.

As everyone else has said, you need to have purchased tickets prior to making FP+.

With your AP you can make FP+ at 30 days if you stay off-site but can make them at 60 days if you are staying on-site. You are not kept to 30 days just because you are AP, that is tied to on-site vs off-site hotels. You all need to book your FP+ closer to the 60 days.

All above is correct - no purchased tickets linked on your MDE, no FP+ can be booked. Your BIL must have purchased his tickets in advance and then exchanged the voucher at GR for a hard ticket if he was staying off-site. There is no way he bought them on arrival day if he booked advance FP+ tickets.

All of these would be buying in advance, paying in advance then linking them to your reservations. If you are not paying until the day of arrival, you can not book until then. Money must change hands. If you are in their MDE where their hotel reservation is and order from Disney it should be automatic. If you buy from UT then you will have to go in and manually link the voucher number. All very easy to do.

Can you imagine what FP availability would be if you didn't have to have ticket media already associated with your account?

It would be next to impossible to get FPs...

Thanks one and all....I thought there was a way but even my brother in law purchased his ticket before hand and made their fast passes....I didn't know he did that.....even called Disney, said same, purchase from AAA, Disney Store....before hand to be able to make everyone's fast passes.....thanks again all...
