hi all

going to our first halloween party on oct oct 14th and can't wait!! have a few questions though and know someone here will have the answers :)

can i use fast passes i got earlier in the day during the halloween party time?

the halloween party ticket is admission enough - if you enter after 4 pm you only need the halloween party ticket ???

what are the crowds like during the party??

do we receive a wrist band to go on the rides or is it the honor system:)

thanks AGAIN for all the help i've received over the years!!!

cindy

I do not know the answers to your questions except one:

I do believe your given wrist bands.

But we are headed for our first party the same night as you! :goodvibes

Yes you need to go and collect a wrist band where you are also given your bag to trick or treat.

It was busy when we went last year but not everyone was doing the rides- some people were concentrating on treat or treating or meeting characters
The later you stay the easier it is to get on rides as some families with younger children leave after the parade or fireworks

Sorry I cant remember about fast passes

I went twice, mid-month and on the 29th. Both times were not all that crowded, and the first time, the wait time for Ghost Galaxy was literally the time it took to walk the queue.

Peter Pan, of course, had a longer wait time, but a majority of the attractions did not have long lines, usually 20 minutes or under. The lines for characters are much longer, because they bring out ones that aren't normally seen in the park. The lines for candy can get somewhat long as well, at the height of the party.

No FPs, because the lines aren't long enough to need them. Special events normally don't allow/need them, as admission is limited to a certain amount. Even during the cast member parties, the lines for attractions were really short.

My DH and I are also attending MHP on the 14th. We're staying at the PPH (Concierge level) , can we pick up our wristbands there?

When we went last year, there were no Fastpasses allowed, even if you got them early in the day. But some lines got quite long--I remember (whether accurately or not) Big Thunder Mountain's line going out of the queue! I came expecting the park to be mostly empty with short lines for everything during the party, and was very disappointed by that. We waited longer for both Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy during the party than we did the next day with FPs, which was not what I expected. (And Space Mountain Fastpass can easily take 10 or 15 minutes anyway.)

Depending on crowd levels and patterns, your best bet MAY be to probably avoid the rides that have Fastpass and concentrate on others that will handle the crowds better. But we got in line for Peter Pan right at the end of the night and the line was pretty similar to how it would be any other midnight closing--maybe a bit shorter.

Anyway, have a good time! I would have enjoyed the party much more if I had kept my expectations lower, instead of imagining it would be like a low-season weekday (it was not).

We are also going on Oct 14. Last year, I went on a Tues and it poured. The rides were basically empty and the candy lines were pretty quick, too. However, a lot of the fun was missing because everyone had to wear slickers over their costumes and it was a mad dash to try to avoid getting drenched. All of the TOT stations had to be moved, which created massive confusion among both guests and CMs. They almost canceled the fireworks but were able to put on the show after all--I missed most of it because I thought it had been canceled (which is what a CM had told me). On the bright side, of course, was the fact that the park had very few people in it; still, for this occasion I think I might prefer a crowd. I will probably find out in a month!

We will be there the 14th for the party :thumbsup2

I was wondering the same thing about the FP's.

Thanks for the info!
