Already tried to post this once - don't know what happened, so here goes again!

We are hoping to go back to WDW in June next year . We have only ever been in September and November when the crowds have been O.K. I know it's going to be a lot busier in June so I think we will have to avail of the fast pass system. My question is (and sorry to be thick) is there a knack to using this? I know you put it in the machine and it gives you a time to come back but does anyone have any "hints" about getting the most of this system.

Cheers

No super tips I'm afraid, but I do know you can only have one at a time, so best to get one as soon as you get there, perhaps with the soonest return time. This way, you may be able to cram more in, in one day. I'm sure others will have less obvious hints!

The best option is for you to arrive at the parks half an hour before opening, you should be able to do most of the rides before any crowds arrive. Picking up Fast Passes for favourite/popular rides that you want to go on later. You can only get one Fast Pass at the time.

What I've done on previous visits, is get a food or drink break using the fast pass system.

When there is a busy ride you want to go on, the fast pass will probably give you a time between 30 min to 60 mins time. Ample time to sit down somewhere nearby and get some refreshments. :drinking1 :cake:

you dont have to return during the hour printed on it as long as its after the first time on it you can use it any time after it so if time is 11.50am-12.50pm you can use it any time from 11.50am untill park closing we were told this by a cast member when we were on space mountin and it was broken we said that its to do with if want you to shop and eat or visit another park you dont have to rush to the ride for a pacticular time. Now we get as many fastpasses in the mornning and use them in the evening done this for at least 2 years never had a problem. The first available time you can get a nother fastpass is 5min after start of time on fastpass so with above example it would be 11.55am

Hiya

Could I please ask while on the subject of fastpasses, are there a limit to how many passes you can use per day?

Thanks

you can use as many as you're able to get within the time constraints of the system....once you have one pass, you can only get the next pass once the time window on the pass you're holding has begun (unless it's more than 2 hours away, in which case it's after 2 hours)...
but beyond that constraint, you can use as many fastpasses as you're able to get...
not all the attractions have FPs, only the ones that tend to get terrible lines (e.g., Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear etc.).....a few rides with terrible lines don't have FPs so if you want to ride those you have to time it right...

Always check your Fastpass for the time that you can get another one - it can be only a few minutes away!

Be warned there are only a certain no. of fastpasses allocated each day & it is not un heard of for certain rides to have used their allocation up by mid day! You don't say when in June,we've been at the beginning & never again!Apologies if you didn't need to hear that!Always check what your return time is as you will not be able to get another pass before the first time i.e. It's 10:00 & your FP return time is 14:45,you will not be able to get another FP until 14:45.I hadn't heard that you could use the FP after the alloted slot ( they certainly won;t even let you in a minute early!!)WDw actually stipulate "you must use your current fastpass ticket or wait 2 hours before getting another fastpass for a different attraction"-That's a dirct quote from the UG.
Also it may be worth checking on the US boards as there is an "Unofficial" Gayday (WDW know when it's going to happen each year but won't admit it),it was around the 5th the year we went & the park was near to capacity.
