fast pass

Some time ago I thought I read that the fast pass for Haunted Mansion was not connected to the rest of the system and therefore it was possibje to get a fast pass for the Mansion AND another attraction fast pass. Does anyone know if this is true? We are leaving for Orlando in 2 weeks and from what I gather reading these threads we will need all the help we can get with the crowds at Christmas.

Second to last time I went, the Haunted Mansion fast pass machines were interconnected with all the rest. Last time I went (Jan '05) the HM machines were out of service that day.

AFAIK each FP ride has its own time before you can get the next fast pass. So it is possible for HM's machines to give you a FP with a time of 5 minutes later you can get another FP. (Someone else with a FP showing 2 hours to next fast pass could at that time also get an HM FP 5 minutes later.)
