fast pass universal?

Last time we were at US Orlando, they offered three fast passes out at any given time so you could technically spend your day w/getting fast passes, riding rides and getting more fast passes. We loved it! I heard that after that time, they went to a single pass out at a time....but now we have not heard anything about FP, so wondering if they even do them anymore or if they are gone. THANKS

disney has the fast pass
universal has the express pass.

yes, the express pass is still in operation. it is free and when you use it you get a choice of times to select from and ride choices.

the express pass plus is the one that costs. you get to ride each ride and attraction one time with it. the prices varies based on the season.

if you stay on site at the hotels, you can use your room key as front of the line pass aka fotl.
the fotl allows you to repeat rides as many times as you wish.

i was there last month and stayed on site.
i did see many using the express pass system

YOu can no longer get three express passes at one time. You get one at a time, much like the Fast Pass at WDW.

THANKS ALL...yes, I knew it had a different name than the Disney version, but couldn't remember the name.

So, if I buy the one that cost extra, do you get any time you want passes (one per ride) and still able to get the timed express pass or is it one or the other?

if you buy the express pass plus, it has no time period on it.
you use it as you wish to at anytime.

the express pass which is free, has a designated time period on it.

you can buy the express pass plus and use it when you want to. it will expire at the end of the day when the park closes. it is valid only on the day you buy it.

you can still use the express pass machine for the free express pass.

if you really enjoy a certain ride, use the pass plus and also get the express pass.

express pass from the machine are limited. once they are all given out, no more for that day. just like at disney. once the soaring fast passes are given out, no more for that day

Right now the free express pass machines are closed. Hopefully they will be up and running again by the Christmas season.

The only express available right now are the express pass plus that you purchase and the FOTL that you get from staying onsite.
