hello!
We are heading back to our happy place the last week of January. My husband and I have been many times before but this is the first time with our then 2 year old son.

I have never experienced FP+ so I am alittle lost.
What would you suggest for Fastpasses to get for our son?
Are the fireworks and parade FPs worth it?
Thank you for any help you can offer!

A complete list of FP suggestions can be found in the green link in my signature. You can pare it down based on your family's preferences.

How tall is he? Sdmt was my 2 year olds favorite ride. Riders must be at least 38 inches.
With our 3year old, we fastpassed Sdmt, Peter Pan, and Talking Mickey. Those are 3 must do attractions for us.

If he is not tall enough, I'd fastpass Winnie the Pooh.

We booked FP for FOF once but ended up cancelling. Totally unnecessary. We got a good spot about 30minutes before it began. Wishes FP is ok. Nice, if your son likes fireworks. Many 2 year olds are scared. I'm not sure I'd risk a FP if he might be scared of the loud noises.

Just a side note, the 2 year old doesn't get his own fast passes. He will get a baby magic band if you stay onsite, which is the cutest thing, but it doesn't do anything.

We did a mix with our fast passes so that we could ride big rides during nap time. It was a good way to trade off. You can also combine fast pass with baby swap so you could get a fastpass for one of the mountains and do baby swap and then your husband gets a fastpass for another e-ticket and do baby swap. We didn't do this if we both really wanted to ride, because your mileage can vary. Another thing to keep in mind if you split up to do e-tickets is that even if the line is 10 minutes, it can take up to 25 minutes to get through the queue and ride. Mission Space had a 5 minute line and took us each 25 minutes and dinosaur took almost 30 on a 10 minute wait.

We appreciated the fast passes for parades with a baby, but it depends on the crowd levels when you are there. It was nice that there is more space to spread out. We also did Wishes fast pass for the same reason. It would depend how long our trip is to if we would do that again.

I would also consider scheduling your fast passes for family rides close to nap time, so you don't have to battle lines right before nap time.
