Ok. This is a bit complicated (thus my question) so bear with me. My family is going to WDW in Jan/Feb 2017. 6 of us total are going, but not all of us will be together all of the days of the trip. Total trip time is Jan 28th-Feb 8th. Most of the stay is off property, with 4 nights at the end of our trip on property, Feb 4th-Feb 8th. Jan 28th-Feb 1st it will be 5 of us. Feb 2nd-Feb 4th will be 6 of us. Feb 4th-Feb 8th will then be 2 of us on property. So, the two of us staying the full trip have 6 day park tix with a reservation on property for 4 nights. 3 people that are staying 8 days have 4 day tickets, staying off property and the last person, only staying 4 days has 2 day tickets, staying off property. Still following? So, currently our room reservation is for just the two of us staying the last 4 days of our trip. Standard room at Caribbean Beach so I think it only sleeps 4. All but one of us traveling are over 18.
We want to stay together for those hard to get FPs so I'm concerned I won't be able to make FP reservations for all of us at the same time since the others are not on the onsite reservation. My first window for booking FPs for the two of us staying on property opens tomorrow so any help/advice on how to get us all FPs at the same booking window would be awesome! I have everyone on MDX account and everyone's tickets linked to it. I've been trying to find crystal clear answers on various websites and here on the boards. I've read what seems to be conflicting information about offsite/onsite reservations and FPs so any clear direction would be great. Thank you!
P.S. As an added bonus to make things even more complicated, I'm trying to also plan the SDFP strategy. I think for keeping things straight in my head, I might just create a separate MDE account with different names for everyone. I'd rather not buy everyone magic bands (or extras for two of us), but if it keeps it less complicated, it might be worth it. I think I've got this SDFP strategy down, but thought I should mention it just in case it changes the answer for above question that I'm looking for. Thanks!
