My family and I will be going to Disney with my sister's family. We're linked on the MDE. We've assigned tickets to everyone. My niece and nephew have 4-day tickets while the rest of us have 5 day tickets. My sister is planning on adding one day to two 4-day tickets when we get to Disney. I did some calculations and decided it was worth it for me to upgrade to an annual pass. All tickets have been assigned on our MDE accounts.
All our tickets were purchased prior to the price increase from undercover tourist, I read on the FP+ thread that the amount we will have to pay is the difference between the current price of the 5-day ticket less the value of the 4-day ticket prior to the price increase. Would it be the same for the annual pass? The amount I pay would be the current AP price less the value of the 5-day ticket prior to the increase?
We were thinking that instead of adding days to two tickets and upgrading one ticket to an AP, we could reassign the tickets so that I would switch with my niece. She would get my 5 day and I would get her four day. Then we would add one day to one 4-day ticket rather than two and then upgrade the other 4-day ticket to an AP. Would reassigning tickets in anyway affect our fast passes? We already made our fast passes since we're going at the end of August. And if I upgrade my ticket to an AP the first day we get to Florida (we have reservations at Beaches & Cream) but not going to the parks until a few days later, will it affect my fast passes? I read that AP holders can only make 7 days worth of fast passes, we're at the parks for 5 days but not consecutively. The five days is spread between 9 days. Does the 7 days that I can make fast passes for mean I can do any 7 days or does it have to be consecutive 7 days so I would lose my fast passes for the last day?
My last question is we were planning on staying on property but now my BIL's sister said her condo might be available for us. Would we lose our fast passes if we cancel our resort reservations prior to 30 days? Would we lost them if we cancel within 30 days of our trip?
Sorry for all the questions. All of this is so overwhelming, multi-day tickets, annual passes, fast passes, on property, off property, my head is spinning. We're also on a budget so we're trying to figure out what's the most budget-friendly way of doing this.
Thanks for any help in advance!
