Just want to clarify... I think I read that we can only hold one FP at a time? Confused whether to get a FP for RSR or World of color in the morning. Any advice?

While World of Color uses the same facilities to issue a "fast pass" it's not a true fast pass. You can get a WOC show time and have a RSR fast pass at the same time.

Generally, once you get a FP you have to wait until you use it OR wait two hours to get a new one (whichever happens first). However some FPs are "disconnected" from other attractions and can be held in combination with any other FP. WOC Is one of those disconnected ones so you can get it will not affect your other FPs throughout the day.

Just to clarify, the most recent reports indicate that none of the FPs within a given park are disconnected anymore, except WoC. You can get a WoC FP (which is more like a ticket for a specific show time and viewing area) and then immediately get another FP. RSR and Screamin' used to be disconnected, but earlier this summer there were reports indicating that RSR and Screamin' were no longer disconnected from the rest of the DCA FP system. It would appear that the two parks are still "disconnected" from each other (meaning having a DL-attraction FP should not affect your ability to get a DCA-attraction FP).

You don't have to redeem a FP to be able to get another one. You just have to wait until the time stated on the FP on when you can get another one. We always like to pull another FP as we are walking to the ride we have one for.

Where do you get the Fastpasses at? Does the resort provide maps that show where the FP are located for each attraction?

Most of the FPs distribution points are near the entrance to the ride. The link that HydroGuy provide earlier in this thread has a description of the locations of the FP machines by ride. The resort maps do not indicate where the FP machines are located.

Get the FP for RSR first. That FP is actually located way before you get to Carsland. They moved it right next to Bugs attraction. They go very fast. Follow the people rushing to get those FPs 'cause that's what many people do when DCA opens.

You can only have one FP at a time. You can't get another one until the time on your current one passes. So, if your FP at RSR says 4-5pm, you cannot get one until after 4pm. The FP machines know what you have based on you inserting your ticket. The machines will simply not print one if you still have an active FP.

This is not quite correct. You can get another fast pass when the time window opens or two hours later, whichever comes first. So let's say you got an RSR FP at 9:00 am and the return time was 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You would eligible to get your next DCA FP at 11:00 am (two afters after you pulled your RSR FP). On the other hand, let's say you got a RSR FP at 9:00 am with a return time of 10:30 am to 11:30 am. You could get your next DCA FP at 10:30 am (the time when the window opens on the RSR FP).

We're getting too much into the nitty-gritty details.

For the OP, all you need to know is that WoC is disconnected, and for every other FP, it'll say on the ticket when you can get another one.

While they still run out much sooner than most FPs, RSR FPs are much easier to get now and you can get them until about 10:30-11:30am depending on the day. I walked right up to the machines at 9am with no line and they still had them about 11am that day.

It is very possible to hold more than one set of FPs per park at a time. You can get another set as soon as your return time opens up or two hours after your last FP whichever comes first. With a late return time as you mentioned, depending at what time you got them you could easily be holding three sets if you time it right.
