Hi there...I finally got my vacation booked for Disney/universal and had questions about fast pass plus. Are there any good ways to use this to the best benefit? I went in for August 20th and got fast passes for magic kingdom...for later in the day. Which made me think is it better to get them earlier so you can use more later? Or go to another park in morning when not so busy and use the 3 for later in the day at another park? I got two day tickets with park hopper. I was hoping that you could use the three in different parks but found out that is not the case. Also I went in to Disney studios and made fast passes...and it now shows I have 6 fast passes but for the same three attractions just different times. It wont let me edit it. Anyone else had problems with this? thanks so much, cherry

1. That's one way.

2. That's another way.

It depends on which parks and which rides are more important to you.

3. Well, the new rules allow you to use the first 3 in one park, then, as many others as you can get (one at a time) in
either the same park or at any other park(s) you may choose.

4. That's a glitch in the system. You really only have 3 FP+.

5.

I assumed it was a glitch but it won't let me edit them.. I am worried it will keep the ones I don't want and lose the three I want. Anyone have opinions about how to use them the best when traveling between parks?

I have lots of ideas about using them between parks for MY party, but only YOU can say which are the more important attractions that YOU want to ride via FP+.

It matters, therefore, which park begins your day and at what time you will hop to the next park and which park that is.

This is driven in large part by the attractions that will no longer have a FP+ available later in the day.

More details on this and FP+ priorities found HERE.

I have a question about booking fast passes. I had such a problem with my dining online bookings I'm paranoid about the fast pass. My vacation isn't until 11/28/2014 but I like to play around with the website. Anyway I am registered for MDE, have all my reservations showing up, but when I click on the fast pass plus it only shows me 30 days out. When I reach my 60 day mark, will it appear or is there something I'm doing wrong. I'm assuming it isn't showing me more than 30 days because my reservation isn't in play yet? I really want certain fast passes, so I'm worried the fast pass won't work like the dining reservations didn't.
Any advice you can give me is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

This. Since you're not yet within 60 days of your arrival date, the system views you as an offsite guest.

Ok so I am adding some of my own questions to this thread...

1) are the fast passes set up like the old system so you can only use 1 per hour or can you set up 2 or 3 within an hours time

2) when utilizing your fast passes can you also use the rider switch option, as it will be just my wife and I with our 1 year old daughter

3) if you don't end up using your fast pass selection are you penalized in anyway.

Thanks to all those who are able to offer any feedback!

1. You can't set them up that way, but you may be able to modify them as you use them.

2. Yes.

3. No.

Lots of FP FAQs addressed in the green link in my signature.

thanks! I heard your named mentioned with FP + on the Dis as kind of the leader in knowledge about it and was hoping you would see this post!

I have also been told that the FP+ scheduling is much easier and relatively glitch-free if you do it online vs. using the MDE app. I'm still about a month out from scheduling mine, so can't speak from experience, but certainly found this to be true when scheduling ADRs!

I just made my fast pass plus reservations. It seems so confusing (all over again)

1. Once I have used one reservation , can another be made? or do all 3 have to be used? Is that what I am reading?

2. CM as lenient as past years if you don't arrive on time?

1. No. All three must be used or expire before a fourth can be made.

2. No. Five minutes before and 15 minutes after your one-hour return window is the apparent grace period, but I wouldn't count even on that.

I saw people turned away whose FP's were just a few minutes expired on my recent trip. They actually argued that they had a 15 minute grace period because they'd read it online and the CM told them that is not the case. This was on a very busy park day when even the FP lines had a wait time of ten minutes or so on headliners so I could totally see that being a factor in if the CM's let you slide by or not.
