Fast Pass Plus & Park Hopping

Need some advice with the new Fast Pass Plus.
Going to WDW in August and plan to split a day with Animal Kingdom on the morning with a quick pool break before heading to Hollywood for the evening.
Schedule is pretty open BUT I do have Fantasmic dining reservations @ Mama Melrose @4:30 that afternoon.
Just wondering with the recent changes if I should still stick to making my Fast Pass choices for Hollywood for the evening\afternoon and just try to be at rope drop for Animal Kingdom's early EMH to try to get on my top three/four must do's I am at 90 days and counting before our trip so I still have 30 days before I can pick my FP choices but want to resolve this prior to the deadline.
Please let me in on your thoughts.

My personal opinion is yes...that would be the right thing to do. Simply because you'll wait MORE at HS for ToT, RnRC and TSMM than you would for EE and KS. It all depends on the attractions that you are REALLY looking forward to. But if it's the "typical" attractions, I think you're right on. Of course, that's just my opinion.

The other thing you could TRY is getting all the FPs for the morning at AK and then adding them at HS once you get there. Downside of that is you might be disappointed at the selection that is left when you arrive at HS.

added opportunity to get additional fastpasses after using your third, I still think that making FP+ ressies for the evening is better. That has one major assumption; you get to the first park for rope drop.

Start with the Safari and then hit Everest. The safari will back up quickly. Everest has an early rush but I usually see only a small line around 10:00 and that is in June. The one major issue at DAK is Kali River Rapids. When it is warm the lines start getting long around 11:00.
