Does anyone else feel overwhelmed with having to make their fast pass selections? We can set ours up on Sunday and I'm trying to narrow ours down for 2 different MK days. My mind just feels boggled. I don't even know where to start!!!!

Agreed. And just because you get to make your selections, there really isn't any pressure at this point. Until everyone gets to book in advance, you could choose all of them the day before and still get everything you wanted.

If you look at your trip, you'll realize there are already things you can fit in to certain days -- whether it's an ADR or a fireworks show, start from there. And ask yourself which rides would you be really disappointed if you didn't do them? IMO it doesn't matter how long the wait is or how much time you save, you should FP the things that are most important to you.

Thank you! I sat down with my mom tonight(only other adult going with me) and we wrote our itinerary with the ADR's. We already agreed to do the fireworks on a certain day and kind of working around already made plans. I'm trying to make this trip as laid back as possible. I want to be able to enjoy the parks, go in the shops and not feel too rushed. We actually have 2 days plus our arrival evening set aside just for MK!!

Nice! When you set up your times, if you don't want to feel rushed, you should try to get a FP before your ADR -- that way you don't have to be worried about how long you'll be in a SB line. A FP'd ride will be no longer than half an hour, a SB ride... who knows? We learned to budget an hour for each SB ride, not including headliners like BTMRR which could be longer than that.

Also, if you set your times up an hour apart, you've pretty much scheduled yourself for 3 hours. Which could be fine for you... or not. We liked having 2 of them back to back if they were in the same general area -- like PoTC and BTMRR. If we got through the first one really fast we had time for the Pirates Adventure in between (or you could shop).

I thought the night we arrive we could try the tomorrowland rides and make our way back to fantasyland to see the new expansion. My son(12) wants to do the Sorcerers of the Kingdom game too. Last time he didn't get to finish it. Day 2 we will be around Frontierland and my son is doing the Pirates League. I think if I schedule some things for those areas it would be simpler for us. I know Splash Mtn is a must do!! Not sure the 5yr old would agree though.

What does SB stand for? I figured out a lot of the abbreviations but that has me stumped.

LOL! I was stressed about them until when I made my choices for FP and realized how easy it was, with a few minor changes to restaurant reservations. Now I am stressed again now that I am in the 2 week window. Parades are popping up and now I am re-thinking my fp choices, so we can see parades but not wait hours for a parade to start.

Can't wait for the trip, but since this is all new I am a bit nervous about the process! Good Luck!

I think what bothers me the most is not knowing how long something is going to take...like we have 9:40 ADR at Ohana, pirate league at 12:40... Not much time in between to try to plan something. Same as BBB at 10:40 the next day. How long does that last? My mom wants BOG for lunch. Not sure I can squeeze that in too. I don't want to wander the park aimlessly. I want some type of game plan. I signed up for touring plans. Maybe that can help too.

BBB I would budget half an hour waiting after you show up for your appointment since they can get behind, then half an hour for the smallest package but up to 2 hours for the largest one (since they get a dress, have to change, makes sure it fits etc etc). BOG lunch is about an hour if you have a FP for it.

Not sure about the other two but somebody will know. And yes, touring plans will help.

Wandering can be fun at times though -- it is a vacation.

I think parades and fireworks are a fine choice for your FPs if you're the kind of family that gets there early to get a great spot, or like us you find that everyone around you seems taller. We used one for Fantasmic and saved ourselves at least half an hour of just waiting -- we'd rather be in an interesting queue line that just waiting, so we didn't regret it. It gave us time to go to the Villains shop, which is one of DH's must-do's.

I knew, from reading the Dis and the Touring Plans sites which attractions have long lines and I chose the ones from those that we wanted to do. I let the app make the other choices for me and I fine tuned them the night before or day of. For instance, I made sure to schedule a FP+ for Peter Pan and then as we had interest in an attraction, but no interest in the line length, I'd update our FP. We went at an slow time of year, and I had no problem making a change for less popular attractions.

I tried not to schedule any must-do FP+ less than two hours from any other hard stop. For instance, we had BOG lunch FP+ so I didn't schedule anything two hours on either side of that. I had a FP+ at 11, lunch at 1 and another FP+ at 3.

I am traveling with my mother and my 2 kids. There are rides that 3 of us want to do but not my youngest(5 at travel). If we were to utilize the rider swap, would one of us have to ride alone or could my oldest ride it again with the other person?
