Fast pass + Newbie question

Contemplating Premier or Platinum AP. We have 4 or 5 days left on a non expiring tickets. Can we book fast + on the non expiring tickets and then somehow add the APs and reprioritize the tickets to use the APs and still have the fast passes? We won't have the APs until either three weeks before the trip, or when we get there. TIA
