We have booked our fast pass times and after booking these rides we feel like we will be pinned down and not have enough free time at the parks during the day for having to keep an eye on our watches for our fast pass times. Does anyone just start using the regular lines and feel it's not as stressful as waiting on the FP times? Now this might not be as bad as I'm thinking and we might like the way the new FP works. Just everyone's thoughts please. I do know that we will most likely have to wait regular lines for some rides because some days we could only get one or two FP rides we like and one or two we aren't just dieing to do. We just want to have fun and not be stressed out.

I check out the lines for the rides we have FP for if we are nearby them. If they are short, Ill get in the regular line and either keep my FP for later if I want to ride again, change it, or skip it I guess

We didn't find t stressful, but we also went with the idea, that if it wasn't a "important" ride like TSMM, and were enjoying something else and were going to miss it, we just cancelled it on the app. We actually found ADRs more stressful.

I think it really depends on how much time you can tolerate standing in lines. 7DMT, TT, TSMM, A&E - just a couple of examples of rides/attractions that can have extraordinarily long wait times. We always FP+ the more popular rides and then play the rest by ear. I think my advice would be, keep the FP+. There is no penalty if you don't use them and you can always try to switch things around while you are in the park.

We often use our 3 FPs and done get more same day ones if that's what you mean.

I tend to hit RD and get several rides done in the first few hours. Then schedule FPs (usually with a break for lunch). I try to schedule FPs in a logical order so I'm not running from one side of the park to the out her (or with enough time to not have to run from one side to the other). So during a day I do wait in more standby lines than FP lines but I chose the lines I want to wait in.

There's an hour window so I've never felt to stressed out about making it to where I need to be.

I don't find any stress in using the FP lines. If we're coming up on a FP in say 10 minutes for the start of its hour, we'll head towards that ride, wait 5-10 min, then ride and move on. You have about an hour and 10 min window to make the FP window. You'll have plenty of time to make it to your FP's and plenty of time in between

We found it to occasionally be stressful when it looked like we were going to miss our window but I didn't know you could change it after the window opened. If I had known that I don't think it would have been stressful. And for the one or two times we found it a little inconvenient to make it at a specific time that feeling was definitely minor compared to showing up and skipping a long standby line most of the time. I felt like a VIP. So, overall, love it.

I was afraid of feeling appointment-driven, so I scheduled FPs geographically near each other and around known meal times like so:

10-11 FP for Big Thunder
11-12FP for Splash
Lunch, either ADR or counter service
FP for Peter Pan 12:45-1:45 (maybe a bit later if lunch was table service)

We'd do rope drop and take advantage of short lines til nearly 11 and catch that first FP near the end of its window, proceed straight to a Splash FP, go eat lunch, by the time we're done, the last FP window is open. We only had to clock-watch to start that first FP, proceed through our list, then after the last FP, we,re back to free-wheeling it.
