fast pass for Fantasmic

I read somewhere that there is now a fast pass for Fantasmic, is this true and where do you get to stand? Is it like the fastpass for World of Colour where you still have to be there an hour before it starts to get a good position?

Yes, you need a fast pass and yes it is similar to the process for WoC.
My DH and I were in the yellow section last night and we ended up being right in front of the entrance to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Where the F! viewing sections are located seems to be an evolving process. I was trying to keep track of it the Fantasmic Viewing Area. Skip to the end to see the latest reports - the second map is closer to current, but there are some things that have changed.

No section with seating is assigned to that package. You are given a regular FP.

They've opened up the Aladdin's Oasis area with some tables for folks to use if they want to eat the meal right there (instead of taking it to go). Otherwise, if you're asking about the FP viewing area, as jenjersnap said, you receive a regular FP for the show. There are no chairs inside the viewing area and very limited ground seating for non-BB/RBT dining package guests.
