Don't think this is likely to affect us, but I do tend to ponder quite a lot when I have a visit in the near future!

If you were two adults with children under the height restriction for a ride that has fast pass, would the children have to have fast passes to get in the queue with you? They wouldn't be riding obviously and it would seem really wasteful of fast passes but I imagine the CMs would expect everyone queueing to have one?

It would probably be the same for people who want to use the chicken door?

Anyone have any thoughts/experience?

You don't all go through the fastpass line when you're doing babyswitch do you? I thought the adult riding first went in the fastpass line, and the adult looking after the kids first went to the exit of the ride (after telling the CM that you want to babyswitch). Then when the first rider comes off the ride, the 2nd adult goes in through the exit, with the CMs permission?

Isn't that the way it works?

Its not the same as the chicken exit scenario, as then you are specifically queuing with your family so they are not alone until the last minute when they ride - yes, in that case you would all need fastpass tickets to get in the fastpass queue.

That's how it worked for us yes :)

The CM's will not let anyone under the minimum height even enter the queue I'm afraid. If they do slip through, there is another CM before you board a ride and they will turn you away...

The child swap works as stated, one member of your party looking after the children can go to the disabled entrance (which is also the ride exit) and can wait with the children. The adult waiting MUST let the CM know you are waiting for a child swap and they will let you on at the next available slot (you may have to wait in busy periods or if there is not a solo seat available) when the rest of your party have been on the ride.

If you ask the CM at the ride entrance, they will tell you how long the wait is roughly (this is good when you do not have a fast pass as you can go off with the children and do something else) and also where you should go and wait :thumbsup2

But BE WARNED, the exit at some rides, Space Mountain springs to mind, DO NOT have a barrier to stop the children running forward. One of our party wasn't paying attention and two of them were running towards to track to wave to us. Of course, we were screaming at said person to get the children as we were already strapped it, and the CM wasn't interested as you leave the children there at your own risk with an adult. Just something to be mindful of if you have little ones :sad2:

thats a great thread, i hadnt even thought of that, though we may very well need to use this service. thankyou x
