Was hoping to pick up casual breakfast at 7am in Downtown Disney so I can make it to the 8am park opening. What is open and worth eating? Are the lines crazy??? Not looking for table service, no time and not buffet! Options?

I don’t know about lines, but there are 2 Starbucks and La Brea Bakery Cafe in DTd.

Starbucks is my current go to quick breakfast option.

There is also Jazz Kitchen Express.

If you have the Starbucks app, you can order online and pick up your food fast.

Echo amyg above: When DH and I went last year, staying on Harbor Blvd, we'd get to the gates 30-45 minutes before opening. I'd put in a Starbucks order on the mobile app, and he'd go back through security on the DTD side and pick it up. He'd leave his bag with me so getting back through bag check was faster. Then we'd have coffee and breakfast sandwiches while waiting at the turnstiles. I will say, though, that he almost didn't make it back to the turnstiles one time; had about 3 minutes to spare before they opened.

Also, I'm a fan of having stuff on hand in the hotel room, assuming you have a mini fridge, as most places do. Yogurt, fruit, granola bar, enough to hold us over till an early lunch, with a Dole whip or something delicious in between.

My go to is Ralph Brennans Jazz Kichen Express. Those beignets though...

Oh bummer, just looked and they don't open til 8. Starbucks it is (or one of the hotel coffee places)

I'd get simple breakfast stuff for the hotel as the pp suggested. you can bring cereal and buy milk (most places have little stores or the 2 convenience marts at the corner of Katella and Harbor)

The app is a must. All the Starbucks are super busy in the morning. Lines to the door. Can't use the app in the parks, just DTD.

I tried to do that a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything open besides Starbucks. The lines there were very long and I wanted something more unique than that. I ended up eating at White Water Snacks, which was nearly empty at the time.

The breakfast sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich are pretty good and make for a quick meal.

Well that's a nice change then. I have been to the parks a number of times with 8 AM park opening and found Earl closed still before 8 AM. I will admit that it has probably been at least a year since I have checked that early in the morning though.

Of course, Earl will be gone soon to make way for the new Disney hotel, so there goes that option.

Starbucks in Downtown Disney. Use the app to order then 7 minutes later, walk in and walk out with your food. Every time we are at the DLH we do this and the downtown Disney location is consistently good and on time.

Our "it's vacation" breakfast at DLR usually consists of one of 3 things:

1. Beignets from Jazz Kitchen Express at Downtown Disney
2. Churro from the cart by the castle inside the park (I think this has become the absolute favorite)
3. Chocolate croissant from the cart by the bridge in California Adventure (DH does not do churros so he usually gets one of these from the cart at the hub at DL too).

The only deviation from one of these 3 things for us in the past several trips has been our Minnie's Plaza breakfast day on every trip (a must do for us) and occasionally an Ariel's Grotto breakfast day.
