I just got a brown tweed blazer from Old Navy. I really got it to wear with jeans, but I'd love to be able to wear it to work too (no jeans). Is it okay to wear it with black pants?

For some reason I am thinking that brown with black is a fashion no-no.

This year I'm seeing it everywhere. I would worry about the style, how would it work with dress pants, but other than that, I wouldn't worry so much about the mix of colors.

Now me, couldn't do it. lol

I have seen brown and black pulled off nicely but it is very tricky. There is a woman at work who has some chocolate brown slacks that she wears with a black turtleneck and black boots. I'm not sure if brown tweed would go with black pants. I don't think it would be a horrible clash but probably not great either.

So boho! yup wear it with a bright shirt and lots of beads

I love brown and black together! (However, I can't do the navy and black thing).

I would wear a simple black turtleneck or tee under the blazer to bring out the blazer.

Go girl! Strut your stuff! :teeth:

Personally, I think that if it's a darker brown it wouldn't go with the black. Try wearing the blazer with a pair of khaki or camel colored pants.
