Let's use this thread to share ideas and finds to help plan outfits for voyages on the Halcyon Galactic Starcruiser.

Are you planning to cosplay as a character?
Are you going to dress in the Star Wars style?
Are you going to wear regular Disney attire?

We are planning 2 outfits that are star wars based, the day we go to Hollywood Studios we are dressing like normal park attire. We will change into our 2nd outfit once we return from Hollywood Studios. I can't wait to hear and see all the fun looks and costumes.

Yay, I found the thread!

For now, not going as character but “Star Wars” style. It will be me + my 3 boys (12-9-6) and maybe DH if he can get time off.

I’ve been sketching on my iPad and already have too many outfits with stuff I already have (all those ponchos and coloured leather jackets I bought when they were in style are coming in handy) + some new accessories. Have some ideas for the younglings as well. (May or may not have ordered a vintage Chewbacca bandolier off of Etsy for my middle, shhhhh!)

Main concern is the ”shore excursion“ to Batuu - likely departing in May.

Etsy is also where we got an outfit/costume. We are large/fluffy so we wanted a bit of help :) The second outfit is items we have on hand and some clearance items we found. We live 30 mins away so jackets are not something we had. I think this will be a fun 2 day adventure:)

I'm planning for 2 tween boys, my husband and myself. For all of us I'm thinking of an earthtone color palette. Henleys & blood stripe pants for them. For me, knit tunics over leggings and field boots. Accessories for interest. Our trip will be over a long weekend so we will be in costume from the moment we leave and return to our house.

Nice, we will be "Jedi ish" on the 1st day and "Rouge ish" on day 2 same palette of earth tones. I will post pics when we get it all finalized. Can't wait to see other costumes/outfits:) we have the May 14th voyage. We are excited and love escape rooms and such so we think it will be so fun!

I was trying to convince DH to wear the inflatable Jabba costume that’s available on Amazon, but he’s vetoed it for some reason…. ;-)

Still have lots of time to decide since we don’t “cruise” until September, so I’m eager to see pics of what earlier travelers are wearing.

Looking at the cast member costumes, I’m thinking of going a bit more saturated with our colours, but with earthy accents and base (ie leather boots and belts, neutral base). I found some cute long sleeve shirts at Carters yesterday that have a neutral base but then mustard yellow, royal blue and red accents on the arms. thinking with some accessories (bandolier, belts, black vest and first order hat for the young trouble maker) the would be good for daytime activities.

For me I’m thinking comfort during the day so echo @JFox with the leggings and tanks/tunics, with ponchos as capes and accessories. I knew there was a reason I bought all those fingerless gloves in Scotland… ;)

For Batuu, looks like we may be there in July based on current availability so it’ll be cago shorts and tanks. Leather backpack for me and either Birks or some cute “edgy” sneaks. I’ll probably throw in some leather bracelets for me. Honestly the temps in July have me worried but I’m telling myself its only an afternoon an we will be back in climate control!

I really dislike buying a one-use item (not a “things” person) but the lightsaber training tunics look lovely for dinner time for my youngest 2 (my eldest has a navy blue tunic we DIY’d for his Dr. Strange Halloween costume so can use that). For me I’m planning on wearing a ridiculously sparkly ruched cocktail dress with fingerless arm warmers, copious amounts of belts and boots for night 1, and night 2 this fabulous blue leather coat I impulse bought with a black jumpsuit and belts/boots for dinner on night 2.

Not that I’ve given this any thought or anything…. now i just need more dates to open back up!!!

Fully booked for July 23. Other than the Batuu excursion it will be nice to be inside with the AC while it's scorching outside.

Outfit planning is officially ON!

If any of you follow Carlye Wisel on Instagram or Twitter she just shared what she wore on the ship. Seems like many are recommending not to worry about day 3 “costumes” as you are only on the ship for breakfast. Brooke McDonald also showed a video of the merch on board and I was happy to see Halcyon branded tees. We always buy a tee for our boys on vacation so I’m thinking that might work nicely for either the Batuu day or disembarkment day. Thought I’d share!

Also if anyone is wanting to splurge on workout wear, I was just on the Athleta site and there’s lots that I think would fit the ship aesthetic. If you need an excuse to buy more clothes, that is… ;)

@GADisneyDad14, maybe this can be added as a thread link to one of the opening posts for the Galactic Starcruiser resort thread? It would make it easier for those who are looking for ideas on dressing for the experience.

As for me, I plan on some neutral colored outfits. Does anyone think a skirt or dress would be an issue with the missions? I do have neutral cropped leggings I can wear as well. I just like skirts more. Most likely I will not be doing any crawling if it's part of a mission due to arthritic knees.
