There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING in FV that I would be willing to put up my own, hard-earned money for.

I would never buy any. I just wait until I earn some the hard way...leveling up.

I've been having a weird problem where I try to click on people's bonuses, collectibles, fuel, etc and it says that I can't collect for my own celebration or the fuel is for my friends, etc but I'm NOT clicking on mine. Anyone else experience this?

I am getting so impatient waiting for the other three items for the gold to come out. I have 401 valentines..not sure whether I should bother to keep collecting them or not.

On another note..I need social city neighbors DESPERATELY..I am trying to get the next expansion and I need a few more neighbors to do so. If anyone plays that, send me a PM if you need neighbors as well!!

I don't know what they are going to reveal for the higher levels of gold.

I don't play Social City but do play My City Life and Beach City.

Iknow! My food in Cafeville spoils, my fish in Fishville die, I lose everything in Paradise Island I always accept neighbor requests because i know that my friends need them to get more levels but I cannot keep up.

I know...most of mine don't do anything for me. I was thinking of deleting them and keeping the ones who send gifts and fertilize my farm but I get XP points when I do theirs...so...I'll keep them around.

My dad was just diagnosed with cancer and while we're trying to figure out the next step I just can't seem to get into games. Hopefully I'll be back to playing soon, but for now I probably won't be on much.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's illness. He should be your priority right now, not FV neighbors. I surely hope he beats this illness. You are all in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis. I'm sure everyone understands that FV is a game, and life obviously comes first. Praying for you and your family that your dad makes a full and complete recovery.

At the moment I am playing Social City more than Farmville..for me, I was always more interested in the "making my farm look neat" aspect rather than the harvest/plow/seed aspect, which I only did to level up and get coins. With social city, the entire GAME is based on making your city look cool..so that's right up my alley!!!

So..I I have been planting 2-4 day crops on farmville because I am loving social city more right now. That way, I don't even need to log into farmville everyday. I know once it's time to redeem my 400 pieces of gold I will log in (I am waiting for the other three crops), but right now..I am a little burnt out on farming. I know I shouldn't say that on the farmville thread though!!

Also..I am level 44, and it seems like it takes FOREVER to level up..so it gets discouraging. Social City is still cool to me..because I can level up about once a day and I can always see what's going to be unlocked at the next level...so it's still fun thinking oh yay..once I hit level 14 I can buy a Walmart (well, they call it BigMart, but you know what I mean.)

Still, I love farmville, but it seems that once you hit the late 30s+ the game can (for some) lose some of its appeal.

I know it's a free game for most, but I wish they weren't waiting so long. They will release the items and then the holiday will be here a few days later. I know for me, I generally take down my decorations a day or two after the holiday. My eiffel tower (and two min-eiffels) are still chilling on my farm though, because it took too long to collect those valentines so I am keeping those out for now. Unless they get booted by some cool gold huge item, maybe!

Thanks! It's funny because I've been posting on here way more than usual. It's a great distraction, especially since I can hop on with my phone wherever I am. Dragging out the laptop and getting on FV just seems like too much, somehow. I know everybody will understand why I'm not playing, but I didn't want to just vanish without an explanation. I really do appreciate the prayers - this has all been such a shock and it's been especially hard on my mom. I feel like I can't get too upset because I have to help keep her spirits up. I'm trying not to dwell on the possibilities too much right now. We're just sort of getting through one day at a time at this point.

I do really enjoy Farmville and I'm sure it will be a great distraction once we figure out about chemo and everything. I'm especially glad we're going to be getting dogs on there! I'm not going to attempt to get the St. Pat's stuff, but I hope there are interesting things for Easter.
