FarmVILLE on Facebook

Just a note about Facebook:
As we have stated on our public roadmap, we will stop delivering application notifications on March 1, 2010. We recommend you begin switching your integrations now.

So effectively, Facebook told application developers back on October 28 that notifications were going away on March 1. So even if Facebook was to get their feeds working more reliably, they're cutting the cord entirely in less than three weeks. FarmVille is supposed to have a new means of dealing with the Game Feed by then.

I have not read the entire thread and I've only been playing for about 3 weeks. But I'd like to know how to get more fuel besides using your farmville dollars? And why isn't this something that's unlimited? I have a 22x22 farm and it's getting aggravating to plow, seed and harvest each little square one at a time. AARRGGHH!!!

Hope you don't mind bicker, but I just shared your post with my FV friends. It will be interesting to see what transpires come March 1st. The game feed on farmville.com isn't accurate :badpc:

As your coins accumulate, save up for buying a plow, seeder, or harvester. Click on the market button and the far right button is the 'vehicles' button. That's where they are. The Seeder, Plow, and Harvester do four plots at a time and speeds the process up. Some mystery gifts and eggs have fuel so be sure to capture those when you can.

There was a "free fuel week" earlier in the year, when your neighbors were able to give you 1/5 of a tank of fuel as a gift. You also get free fuel in eggs, as mystery gifts, as level-up bonuses, etc. (Trick: If you have a 1/5 tank in your gift box, wait until your tank fills by itself, then use the fuel. That will overfill your tank, resulting in you having an extra tank to fill. Then let the tank fill again, and now you have two tanks-worth of fuel, instead of one and 1/5.)

And why isn't this something that's unlimited?
I think fuel is one of the main premium aspects that Zynga relies on to have some revenue coming in from their work providing us FarmVille.

Another "how do we earn farmville cash mystery"

I set my husband up with a farm awhile back so I could send myself stuff from his profile (hehe)... he rarely does anything on it at all, though. He is level 14 and he has 23 FV Cash?!

So it's obviously very crazy.

I hate to say it, but I think this is a good thing. Those game feeds are going to kill Facebook as it scares the technologically impaired away.

I don't think anyone likes the idea that application notifications get mixed in with "real" notifications (i.e., deliberately-posted status updates, deliberately-posted links, deliberately-posted videos, deliberately-posted photos, etc.)

This week you can get free fuel by sending valentines to your neighbors...you can get the 1/5 tank when you send a valentine. It's not much but every little bit helps.

Instead of the bookmark, they now have a link to FarmVille under Application, on the left.

I mean a button that will show just your friends FV accomplishments and bonuses to click on.

I don't have such a feature in the old UI. I've only seen something like that in the FarmVille.com Game Feed.

How did you do set it up?

Hi! I need two more friends so that I can upgrade my farm again. Anyone willing to be my farmville neighbor?? I always make sure to fertilize your crops!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for letting me know about how to get fuel. I already have the plow, seeder and harvester.....and will use them when I have fuel but it eats it up really quick. I was hoping to find a way to get a bunch more. I have received a couple refills here and there but seems you could always use more.

I also need to have 11 more neighbors to earn my last ribbon. If you're interested, let me know. Thanks!!!

I would love to be your neighbor. PM me with your link as I can't PM for some reason and we will hook up.

Still looking for neighbors - need 5 more to level up! :) Send me a pm with your e-mail and I'll send you a neighbor notice!

Jill

I have had dozens of request to add, i gave the first e-mail wrong, so i couldn't accept the request. Here is my e-mail for farmville, sorry
