FarmVILLE on Facebook

YES!!! I tried to do this, but it won't let me do it. I think it might be the browser I'm using (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox). Or...maybe it's just user error. LOL!!

I have the same problem. I only get the top half of the layer, so I don't see the Send button.

Just use the tab button to move around the layer... that'll do the trick.

There are indications that the problem whereby we were not able to post anything from FarmVille whatosever has been fixed.

:thanks: I was having the same problem.

ETA: Ok this might be a dingy question but I'm like that.
Once I hit the save settings button will this hide all things I publish from FV to that group of people or do I need to do this in each category of publishing, ribbons, etc etc.

Okay, the posting problem, where bonuses and such aren't posting whatsoever, comes and goes. It isn't fixed. It just isn't always broken.

I still have the old f/b format so far. Anything I post just goes to my wall and not to my home page. Is this the problem that you guys were talking about? My kids don't have the problem so I thought it was just me but it seems like maybe a bunch of us are having this problem.

The problem I'm talking about is detailed here:

http://forums.zynga.com/showthread.php?t=279349&page=167

Essentially, whenever folks click "Share" (such as for thanking neighbors for fertilizing their farm, or for sharing a bonus for a mastery level, or for announcing the completion of building your stable) nothing happens.... the box to Publish the message to neighbors, so that they can claim the bonus, never pops up at all.

It had nothing to do with which Facebook UI you had. I still have the old format, and my wife has had the new format for a few days, and we both have had the same problems, pretty-much at the same times. The problem was probably related to the changing of the Facebook UI, but it didn't matter which UI any specific person had.

There are some indications that this could have been related to DNS, but Zynga hasn't provided any responses whatsoever, which could be used to better understand what has gone wrong. They literally have said nothing about this issue, even though, on their forums, there have been multiple threads about this (not just the one I posted), with literally hundreds, if not thousands of forum members reporting the same thing. (You get what you pay for, and remember: FarmVille is free, if you want it to be.)

Incidentally, the problem seems completely resolved this morning, for myself and my wife.

I am still having those problems still today. In face it just happened to me 5 minutes ago.

I would try clearing your cache, shutting down all browser windows, and then trying again.

Facebook has been slow most of the weekend but I've better luck connecting via FarmVille.com through the tool bar. :thumbsup2

I just started having trouble sending Gifts through FarmVille.com. The control where I select which friends to send the Gifts to is coming up with an error. I am able send Gifts through FarmVille inside Facebook, though.

Bumping because I edited this post so the question might not of been seen.

In some cases, I see a checkbox which says "Save These Settings as My Default" or something like that. I think if you don't check that checkbox (or don't have it) then that will not become your new default security settings.

I have a quick question, does the tractor, seeder, & harvester do anything. Or they just dectrative or do they actually do work?

They work, they will harvest, plow and seed 4 plots at a time. The super tractor plows 9 plots at a time.

There is a set of ribbons you can earn for plowing with the tractor, and a set of ribbons you can earn for seeding with the seeder. At this point, though, there aren't ribbons for harvesting with the harvester.

Keep in mind that you have enough fuel to do one of the three operations on 150 plots of land (but keep in mind that the regular vehicles do 4 plots at a time, and although some of the vehicles can do partials, if there are obstacles, that's a lot more complicated to describe, so let's just stick with four plots at a time). So you can just use it all with the tractor (plow 37*4=148 plots with the tractor), or split it between two (plow 19*4=76 plots with the tractor, and seed 18*4=72 plots with the seeder), or split it between three (harvest 13*4=52 plots with the tractor, plow 12*4=48 plots with the tractor, seed 12*4=48 plots with the seeder). (You also can get extra fuel, by buying it with your credit card, or as bonuses, mystery gifts, etc.)

If you and your friends are still working on your stables, you can now send any of the five building materials.

Go to FREE GIFT, select one of the two listed, click PROCEED TO SEND. You'll have the picture of the gift you selected.

Go to the URL, click your END key to go to the end of the URL, and delete the name of the item you selected, and replace it with the item you want to send (=brick, =harness, =horseshoe, =nail, =woodenboard). Hit enter to reload the page. The item picture will have changed to the new item.

Go ahead and select the people to send it to. Click Send!

I wonder if that trick can be used to send "Locked" gifts, too.
